Holiday Inn Express Washington by IHG

The pictures online are definitely not of this hotel. The staff was friendly, but the rest of our experience was terrible. The hotel had a musty smell, water damage everywhere, door to my room didn’t not seem secure, carpet was sticky and dirty, mold on shower curtain and in bathroom, towels in room were dirty, bed had odor and extremely uncomfortable. It was so bad after one night of our three night reservation, we left and went to a hotel 30 minutes away. This place is in desperate need of a renovation.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. It was immediately evident upon arriving that the photos on Hotels.com were not from the same property. Actual patrons didn't provide the high ratings. There was water damage everywhere: in the room, lobby above the breakfast area, etc. Due to the water damage, there were mold spots and an overwhelming musty/moldy smell. It was the type of hotel experience that just made you feel unclean and gross. That said, we were booked for 3 nights, but after the first night we just left and found other accommodations. None of the individuals in our group felt comfortable staying any longer. I will say, the hotel staff was friendly. However, that's honestly the only positive feedback I can provide.

The staff was friendly, but that's the only nice thing I can say. The hotel is a mess. Dirty. Mold in room. Torn curtains. Disgusting carpet. Water damage throughout. The property is in disrepair. The photos are false advertising, and I am skeptical of the 10/10 reviews. They said that they are in the midst of a renovation, but the property appears to need a tear down, not a renovation.

We were in town for a funeral. We stayed there because is was close to the church. We will most likely be staying there from now on, when we're in town. It was very nice. We had a room with a large refrigerator, microwave and hot tub. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean! The breakfast was very good. They had everything anyone could want at breakfast. The rate was good. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked nice too.

My family stayed here recently . The rooms had mold growing on curtains and ceiling . This town desperately needs a CLEAN hotel and this used to be it … Surely the management can do some thing to save this place. The workers were nice but this is out of their hands. It needs a thorough cleaning and complete face lift ASAP.

Just a notch or two below a good place. Basically clean, lobby inviting. 1 place in room to recharge electronics, 1 nightstand only on 1 side of bed. So where does other side put glasses, etc.? Worst: Everything in room seemed damp not just cold from A/C. Even asked to change rooms. 2nd room better but still damp. Laid a shirt over chair by A/C, was so damp it took the wrinkles out overnight. Room cooled fine but it's like something is wrong the system. Towels just as wet in am as after shower night before. The was our 2nd stay. Will look elsewhere next business trip.

We booked and stayed one night, April 25, 2021. Check in at 9:00pm was chaotic, finding us a clean room. In the morning, the two ladies behind the desk were bickering. We checked out morning of the 26th, as planned. The next day my credit card got hit for an additional day. I emailed the “general Manager” but have yet to get a response.
