Very clean, and great accommodating my large dog. Breakfast was good, all the staff were friendly.
The roon was not cleaned very well. Surfaces were dirty, hair on surfaces in bathroom. The worst part was the smell. The entire third floor hallway had a strong putrid smell which eventually made its way into the room. Only way to describe it was smelly sewer feet.
Some confusion with reservation. They made me another and it charged me twice. I had to see the manager the next morning to get one refunded. There was a price difference and of course the cheaper amount was refunded.
USWe were excited to check into the newly renovated Holiday Inn Express. Some work was still in process. We checked into room 127. We quickly discovered the TV didn’t work, the HVAC had a loud hammering sound, the new paint job was sloppy, and the back splash around the bathroom sink was very poorly installed. We moved to room 127 to discover the bathroom was very dirty. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned in some time. There was a ring around the bowl at water level. There was a “brown deposit” on the seat. In fairness, the TV worked and the HVAC was a new one. Too bad. If well managed, this facility has potential.
The entire lobby, pool, and hallways were under construction. It should not have been open or at least notifying potential guests. You had to enter through an emergency exit out back, and half of the parking was taken by dumpsters and portable job containers. After arriving we discussed with the hotel about canceling but they said we had to go through hotels.com. it was so bad, we had to take the chance and go across town and get another hotel. The inconvenience of the hotels.com app being all messed up didnt help at all!
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Well kept best to stay in area
Hotel is under renovation and it appears they are renting rooms before they are ready. The exhaust fan cover in the bathroom was hanging down, the ceiling light cover was hanging down, the floor had stains all over it, there was a hole in the bathroom door. Killed a spider in the bathtub this morning. In the bedroom you could tell they moved the smoke detector because you could still see the hole where they didn't get it completely covered. The smoke detector was hanging down (I assume it was hooked up but who knows), the wardrobe was sticking out in the room about 2 inches from the wall and it wobbled and made noises every time you walk by it. I usually stay someplace else that is better and cheaper but several people told me how nice it was since it had been renovated. If this is better I would hate to see what it looked like before
USbeing remolded so our room was brand new it was great the breakfast was very good and hot the staff was amazing in helping us with places to go and very helpful the food service ladies went out of their way to make sure everything was good when the lobby is remolded I'm sure it will be even better
We ask for two queen beds or one king bed. Front deck said two queens are available. When we got to the room, the beds looked small. On the way out to dinner I ask if we were in room with two queens which she said yes. Later that evening going to bed we got in it and it was full size beds. We are not large people and we were touching each other shoulder to shoulder. They are remodeling and new beds in storage were ALL full size beds.
