"Wouldn't recommend until after construction is finish"

Location is good and there is a really nice lady at the front desk in the morning. I forgot her name. Thats about it.

Room was full with dust, metal bar full with rust and the beds were sloppy, pillow case was torn. When I brought it to the attention to the front desk agent ( Marvin) in the night of checking in he gave a stink attitude. I had called & made them aware I was checking in late. Upon arrival he said he only had a handicapped room left, I ask him if I could switch rooms in the morning due to it was a 4 days stay he said no & if I want to leave i couldnt receive a refund because I book through a 3rd party ( bare in mind I know thats not through because I use my card to book the reservation not booking.com card)& is either I take the room or leave it. I was in shock of his attitude ( im also in the hotel industry & also a manager) made it even worst! Went to the front desk in the morning spoke to this really nice lady- she explained that they are under construction & there was no better rooms than what I had & also gave me a refund for the other 3 nights when i told her I wasnt going to stay & apologize for her coworker behaviour.

Check in was smooth. We were given a quiet room, away from the ice machine.Everything in the room worked

Elevator wasn’t working, but repairman had been called, and we could drive up to the 2nd floor.

Upon arriving at the Best Western Cape Cod Hotel in Hyannis for a week long family vacation, there was nothing impressive about the hotel except that there were two entrances to the parking lot on two different roads. Ease of access off of busy roads. Although I am a BW member, I booked through Hotels.com and saw the amenities included heated pool, hot tub/spa, a restaurant and the facility is non-smoking. The photos showed a large room and a roomy bathroom tub. The small space for the commode was not included. Two rooms were booked in May for an August arrival. The rooms were not the cleanest, bugs near ceiling in a corner, cigarette burn in the carpet, and a lack of sufficient towels and toilet paper for both rooms. We had to request daily housekeeping for clean towels, vacuuming, trash to be emptied, toilet paper re-stock and beds to be made without bedding being changed. We made the request at check in. our request was not completed any day, something was always missing. One room had 4 occupants and received only 3 towels and no wash cloths if done each day. A trip to the front desk was necessary. Toilet paper was given sparingly. We were told not to return to our rooms until after 4pm. Upon arrival one evening at 6:15, our rooms were not serviced, nor were they serviced the day prior to check out. Twice we received towels from the front desk that were sub standard, one appeared to have been shaved, the other had a stain of either blood or feces. There was no restaurant. Apparently it was closed prior to the new owners purchase. We went in the pool on our second day. The pool was not being properly cleaned, the brown around the edge could be scraped off with a fingernail, the shadow on the bottom is dirt not being picked up by the automatic vacuum. I voiced a complaint and was told only I would notice the grunge because I have a pool of my own. The chemical balance was off causing too much chlorine. The grand kids didn't notice. I'm pretty sure the Board of Health would have closed the pool. I complained twice. Nothing was done. There was no hot tub/spa. The room was filled with concrete. One of our rooms was next to someone who was smoking cigarettes inside. The smoke was coming through the bathroom fan. After the second complaint about the smoker, that person's stay was not extended. That was 5 days into our stay. My grand kids were in that room. The free breakfast was okay. The coffee on two mornings was cold and leftover from the day before. Fresh was provided when the regular breakfast person came to work. I asked for a refund and was refused. I called Hotels.com and they said I had to deal with the location, even though it was Hotels.com that charged me for both rooms. I called Best Western corporate and was told that even though I was a member they could not do a refund but would certainly check the location for these substandard conditions. BW main website also lists the hot tub/spa. Disputing the credit card didn't work because technically they fullfilled the agreement of providing a room. Even if we walked out the day we arrived, the cancellation period was over. We did stay at a BW in Concord, NH after leaving Hyannis, MA. The facility was clean, comfortable, and everything that was promised.
