Quality Inn Hartsville

Once upon a time, this property was probably very nice, but that was long ago. The room was spacious and decently appointed, with a microwave and refrigerator, and comfortable beds. Sadly, though, it was dirty, buggy and rundown. We actually stayed in two different rooms, as the a/c didn’t work in the first (and the toilet kept running). The second room was a bit more pleasant, and appeared a bit fresher. Despite the lovely pictures on their website, the exercise room and breakfast station were gone, and the pool was not open, but had a few inches of slimy water and trash in it. On the positive side, all the staff were nice and friendly, and the rates were very cheap, proving the old adage that you get what you pay for.

Where do I begin??? I work in the travel industry, and I would NOT suggest this hotel as a hotel for one of our groups to stay. This hotel is in need of a makeover! As you enter the room and draw the blinds, it is noticed the bottom of the sheer curtains were terribly frayed, as well as one of the blinds was missing a wand and semi disconnected from the top of the mechanism holding the shades/curtains up. Next thing noticed are the lamps, as they were rusted. You go into the bathroom and the toilet seat was broken away from the toilet. The clencher for us was when turning down the duvet cover down and away to the edge of the mattress, the underneath side was ripped in various places; not small rips, but gashes. I am sure there was more than went unnoticed.

Floor was dirty. Sink was clogged. Sheets were almost too small for the bed. Poor quality

At first we stayed at room 222, the AC was not working after 15 minutes. And then got moved to another room which we thought will be better until we found cockroach and the floor was so dirty and sticky. I understand the room rate was high due to the NASCAR, but to make sure the room is ready in term of cleanliness is a MUST. By the way we stayed with 2 years old baby. We are not happy at all! Plus there is no breakfast as mentioned and also no info about pool closure. Overall.. NO, THANKS! For staying here ever again

The continental breakfast was basically a waffle and a bottle of water, thats it, supposed to be eggs biscuits and gravy, juices, ceral and milk, fruit, and it had nothing! Coffee had grounds all in it, no sugar for coffee, terrible overall stay

Don’t requmind

We had bedbugs in the first room we stayed which was room 215. I went and spoke to front desk and they moved us to room 226. We wound up leaving a day early due to the conditions of our rooms. We were highly disappointed and disgusted.

First, the pictures are nothing like what’s posted. The pool was green and dirty and not filled up. The property was dirty and people living there appeared to be drug attics. People were walking around all over the property. I was supposed to stay a week for a baseball tournament but didn’t stay one night, I cancelled and was still charged for one night.

Not the worst but no where near the best. You get what u pay for
