Hillwinds Inn - Blowing Rock

The location is perfect for exploring downtown Blowing Rock. The rocking chairs outside the room were a great perk for relaxing in the morning. Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The a/c unit was loud and probably needs to be replaced or updated. The old ventilation system parts should probably be removed along with the old thermostat that is just a fixture on the wall.

Very comfortable, spacious.Great location.

Water took a long time to get hot.

Location was convenient to Main Street of BR.

I did not understand why my credit card was taken for "incidentals." Like what? There was no food or bar service.

The room was very clean. The beds were horrible. For the cost of the room I was expecting a updated room. Was not worth what it cost. Will not be staying again.

Good location for centre of town

Our room was dark with the only outlook being over the car park. Although described as an Inn, most of the rooms are in a motel style block. There were no communal facilities such as a dining room, a bar or a lounge. If returning to Blowing Rock we would stay else where.

It’s quaint, close to everything, and affordable.

The shower was short and the shower head was small.

The AC was unable to keep our room cool.

We weren’t served breakfast

The hotel needs to bring carpenters in to improve the rooms.
