Truckee Donner Lodge

To be fair this was an excellent venue for our car club's annual event. The reason for the poor review was the performance of one individual at the reception desk. She was unnecessarily argumentative and passive aggressive. This was the case for the three times I interacted with her. My final interaction involved my trying to get someone's attention at the empty counter. Finally when another guest showed up and I called out a third time, this person acknowledged me. She was about 20 feet behind me the whole time, and said she would help us when she was done cleaning the beverage machine. 😵‍💫 Admittedly this was the least contentious of the three interactions. But this woman is in the wrong profession. She confuses hostility for hospitality.

Everything is always clean and emaculate staff is always friendly breakfast is always delicious parking is always easy

The room was excellent the bed was very comfortable and once your head hits the pillows it's lights out the room was clean the alarm clock was on and off intermittent so it didn't charge my phone but it was fine that's nothing to take away from the whole experience the staff is always friendly eager to help the continental breakfast was great there was the choice of eggs sausage make your own pancakes assorted fruit different breads ranging from muffins baggles and English muffins they also had 2 different yogurts along with cold and hot cereal they have a hot coffee machine with different types of coffee's you can make they have tea also I rate this property a solid 10 due to the staff cleanliness and location you can't go wrong with this property it's close to a ski resort hiking trails and much more this gem of a hotel is my home away from home when I have to travel to truckee for work

Easy access from the freeway but not too close. Ample free parking. Welcoming staff. Free breakfast and 24 hr free coffee. Extra clean rooms.
