We booked this hotel because it had direct access to the Dead Sea. This place is so terrible in so many ways I would rather walk miles across the desert to get to the sea than ever stay there again.

Wonderful room with a beautiful view of the sea. Spa services were excellent, food was delicious, and the overall service was extremely helpful, especially at check in when we were able to get an early check in to our room. Will be back, for sure

The hotel has a private beach, which means that you don't have to walk out and cross the street to get to the sea. It's just steps from the back of the hotel. There's also a beautiful outdoor pool that is heated. So you can float in the sea and then come back and swim in the pool. The indoor spa has a large salt-water pool that you can float in, if the sea is too cold. The outside of the hotel looks a bit shabby and old fashioned, but the interior of the rooms are very nice and modern.

Staff has no idea what it means to be in the service industry. Five star rating is laughable. Spa receptionist was non-responsive and when she finally did respond she was rude. Lunch boxes we ordered the day before were not ready on time, and after waiting for them to be prepared for half an hour, we had to leave without them, so that we would not miss our scheduled tour.

We had a great weekend at the Dead Sea. Herods was a good choice for us. Great service, front desk was very helpful, free breakfast was delicious, indoor/outdoor pool fantastic! Loved our room view of the Dead Sea. I was worried after reading some of the negative reviews, but they are obviously exaggerated. Herods is a good choice in the Dead Sea area. I would compare it to a mid-range hotel in North America (ex. think Radisson Hotel, Sandman, or Marriott).

I injoy the visit in the hotel from all aspects, it is a very good hotel, one of the best in the dead sea, it has SPA with dead sea warm water in door pool, free to all the hotel guests and great outdoor pool. high variety of delicious food in the breakfast, Very kind staff, nice singers at the lobby evening show.The hotel has dead sea great private beach The hotel is not brand new but still a great recommend hotel, I will come back for sure.
