Hampton Inn Natchitoches

We were moving from OK to LA. The hotel was a welcomed stop.

Bathroom not clean, slip protection in bathroom tub worn down to the glue. Toilet paper holder VERY inconveniently located.

The property was clean and smelled good. It was a quiet & relaxing stay.

I loved the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was very clean and even smelled clean. The room was beautiful and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom has all the amenities one needs. The hot breakfast was delicious. We will stay again sometime.

I have stayed in this hotel several times for business trips, and never had an issue. I was so upset after a stay for personal reasons on Saturday, September 7. I will never stay here again. I am a Hilton Diamond Member, and am very familiar with how to correctly use the app for online checkin. The day before my stay, I selected a double room on the 3rd floor away from the elevators. When I checked in, almost every room on that floor was available. When my son and I arrived the next day, the lady at the desk said the room I selected was actually a king. She said they’ve tried to change it more than once on the website and app to no avail. She offered a rollaway bed as a solution because the hotel was full. I was disappointed, but it was no issue. When she handed me my key, the envelope said room 114 - the one closest to the lobby, gym and elevators. AKA the worst room in the hotel! Also, I do not feel safe on the first floor. When I explained that I didn’t choose that room, she told me I did. When I pushed back, she said there was nothing she could do because the hotel was full, and that was the room I was assigned. She clearly didn’t care that I was upset. Not cool at all. We went out for dinner and a movie. Upon our return, there were kids and teenagers running up and down the halls being very noisy. There were kids in the gym going crazy like they were on a playground. The hotel clerk had to out an “out of order sign” on the gym door. There were parents sitting in the lobby knocking back beers, and clearly didn’t care that their kids were being disruptive and destructive. After visiting the pool, we went back to our room. Then, the kids in teenagers took turns going from inside to outside screaming and acting like animals, all while their parents did nothing. After 10:00pm, I finally messaged the hotel using the app asking them to please get some control over the situation. Nothing was done. At checkout the next morning, I discussed everything with the clerk on duty. She recorded my account to play for the general manager on Monday morning. I asked for some extra Hilton Honors points for compensation. She assured me that the manager would call. I’m still waiting…. Additionally, after she stopped recording me, she said that they cannot do anything about rowdy kids/teenagers or she would lose her job for telling a guest how to parent their children. When I told her that was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard, she said that the parents would write bad reviews. Well…

Our room (129) was damp the entire weekend. We thought it was just not cool enough when walking in but it stayed that way the whole time. We had to go buy a fan. Air felt like someone had just taken a shower and then it smelled moldy. We didn’t get any room service on Saturday. We didn’t leave a sign on the door. Got back around 10pm. No towels. No toilet paper. No tissues. Definitely could’ve been cleaner. Nowhere near worth the $160/night. People at front desk were friendly.
