Hampton Inn Natchitoches

Just what I wanted.

The hotel is a quick and easy drive from everything you need. Being so close to a McDonalds was great for my kid as well. Not sure what is up with the run down looking Huddle House right in front of the hotel, but besides making it look suspect when 1st checking in, it doesn’t really cause any issues with the hotel itself.

The overall experience was excellent. Two thumbs up, one of my highest ratings.

Convenient access to interstate, fast food, and nearby city with festival activities.

Breakfast was not the best

The staff is nice, politely, and friendly.

The floor in the elevator wasn’t pleasant. It need cleaning and maybe a soft fragrance can be used in there. Just a suggestion .

Just spent three nights there. An older property but our room had apparently been recently remodeled. The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable, adequate storage, lots of outlets for charging our devices. Our issues were with service. First, no benefits for Diamond status. No parking spaces, no bottle of water. That’s not important in and of itself, but it’s an indication of a hotel that doesn’t pay attention to details. The second issue: housekeeping or the lack thereof. When my wife and I checked in, there were only two towels and washcloths in the bathroom. Since there was a note on the mirror indicating that housekeeping made the bed, replenished the towels every other day, I asked the front desk clerk if she would have housekeeping bring us two or three towels, She said she would. By late afternoon, they were still a no show, so I asked the same clerk if she could get us some towels. She did and said she would speak to housekeeping. We were there from Monday afternoon until Thursday morning and received no services from housekeeping. I told the front desk clerk before I checked out. She said she would let the manager know. Third issue: breakfast. If I had to describe it in one word, compared to most Hampton properties we’ve stayed in, the word would be skimpy. The sign said that breakfast was served from 6 to 10 a.m. There was so little food out that we went to the McDonald’s next door. The second day we went earlier and things were better, but still a lack of attention to detail: the light roast coffee pot was empty, only three little pastries out, about a cup of fruit in the fruit bowl, no glasses for juice, and a no-waffle sign on the waffle maker. The third morning we went very early, a different woman was in charge, and the service was improved. So it could be a good hotel, but it isn’t.

The young lady that helped when I walked in was amazing. She was so friendly and welcoming. I was able to get a room so I could work and wouldn’t have to be out where everyone else was. Top notch serve
