Adamas House Hotel

We stayed at the Adamas Hotel in Quito for three days after spending 10 days in the Galapagos. It is a beautiful, small hotel a few blocks from Independence Square. The rooms are large and beautiful and the staff is welcoming and helpful. There is a lovely seating area on the ground floor and a small bar and seating area on the roof with a lovely view of the city. The breakfast is varied and tasty. Truly a lovely place to stay in a beautiful city.

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Adamas Hotel and I can't say enough good things about this property. We were welcomed and taken such good care of by Paul & Giovanni. They constantly went above and beyond, helping with restaurant recommendations, transport, organizing covid tests, etc etc. The chef is amazing and we were treated to a delicious breakfast spread every morning. The room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. This hotel and the people running it really made our trip to Quito that much more special. I highly recommend this property!

This is a nice hotel in the heart of old center Quito. We walked to several nice restaurants in the area, based on recommendations by the 2 gentlemen that work there. Paul and Giavonnia are extremely good at make you feel at home and we’ll taken care of. They arranged taxis when need and made late night snacks if desired. On the morning of departure, we had to leave at 3am, we were sent with a nice bag lunch for our way to early ride to the airport. The hotel is nice, rooms are large. But by far the best thing is the staff.

The service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing. Breakfast included a choice of fresh fruit juices, fruits, coffee, unique breads, cheese and a local item. Everyone at the hotel was so hospitable. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Quito.

The hotel is amazing. We absolutely loved it, it was the best place to stay and unwind. The rooms are large, luxurious and clean and beautifully decorated. The showers were really good and bathrooms were large and clean. The beds were really comfy. The breakfast was really good. The location and proximity to all the sites was really good.

The hotel was very lovely and clean. The staff were outstanding Paul, Nexi and Giovanni were exceptional! They shared delicious local food with us at breakfast as well as excellent information on the area. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying in Old Town Quito!

The hotel was immaculate! Very clean, spacious, well supplied, and service was wonderful. The staff is very conscientious of your needs and willing to make your stay perfect. The breakfast was delicious too. Would most definitely stay again.

The owner and staff are dishonest! Do not stay here!! My husband and I booked a two night stay in the Luxury Suite. We booked via Orbitz. On check-in, Giovanni led us to the room, which was clearly not the Luxury Suite (I later learned that it was the Deluxe Double). I asked him about it, and at first, he tried to tell us that it was the same as the Luxury Suite, which was clearly a lie since the Luxury Suite was a spacious two level apartment and the room he put us in was a much smaller one level room. Giovanni then admitted that he gave away our room. He said that the people who booked the room the night before had asked to stay another night. And instead of telling them that the room had already been booked (by me), he let them stay there. I didn’t appreciate being lied to, and I didn’t appreciate that Giovanni tried to downplay the Luxury Suite to get me to accept the Deluxe Double. I asked for a refund for the difference between the rooms (the difference was significant), and he said he'd have to ask the owner, Gabriela, and see. Later on, he said that he'd be able to refund us $70 total. $70 is NOT the correct amount. We paid $357 for two nights. According to the hotel's own receipt, the value of the Deluxe Double room we stayed in for two nights was $227, inclusive of taxes, service charge, etc. The only things he offered us were free breakfast and free laundry services. We declined both out of principle (although we later learned we were entitled to free breakfast with our booking anyways). We argued that our refund should have been $357-$227 = $130, but Giovanni said that was the best he could do. In conclusion, don't stay here unless you like being lied to and scammed. Even now, the owner has not rectified the situation, and I have to go through my credit card to get my partial refund.
