We enjoyed our stay. The river running in the back of the property was amazing and the hosts provided lots of chairs and lounges to kick back on. Quiet even though right off the road. Bare bones rooms but we were there for the amazing Sawtooth nature and really only slept there and had coffee/glass of wine by the river. There is a sweet chocolate lab that kept us company while enjoying the river with us and fetching sticks in the water!

Location and price point....but the name and actual room was neither a cabin nor any red wood!...nor more than a dressed up blue block building as in old motel, lacking what is found even in the lowest motels ...no ice ,no tv,no complete set up!!but with more effort and honesty....they could excell.....just dont call them cabins or expect folks to see block !!

Beautiful scenery and our cabin was right on the river. All the amenities you could want. Definitely a new favorite for us, can't wait to stay again.

The property was old and very dated. The floors were not swept for a ling time but the lady was so nice and the best thing was waking up to the beautidul Salmon river running in back. I do not lile having to chose who this review goes to. We are all equal! Ridiculous travelocity

"No frills"

4.0

It was clean. Otherwise, it was old and not comfortable at all. The neighbors were noisy, mostly because the plumbing was noisy. There is a fridge, but the handle came off when I opened it. There is no TV, no lobby, no activities. The river and mountains are beautiful. I could just see them outside the tiny windows.

Booked the cabins because my group was coming out of the wilderness from a backpacking trip. Our group went to shower, only to find the shower not draining, filling to her mid calf, above the shower door, in less than a minute. She turned it off, let it drain, and though to finish as much as she can of her shower in the sink. Welp, you guessed it. Sink wouldn't drain. It took 3 hours for all 4 of us to get clean because nothing would drain, except for the toilet (luckily). It's the last think anyone wants when they're dirty from backpacking. Since it was late and they were at capacity, we thought we'd broach the issue with management tomorrow. We were gonna be in town one more day, so our group thought potentially we could ask if the problem could be fixed since the room was free that night, and we wouldn't have to move our bags. When I asked management if this was a possibility, he shrugged his shoulders and said on no, the plumbing is bad in 10. I can move you to 9 though. Basically, they sold us that room at full price even though they knew the plumbing was bad and the quality of the room was unlivable. And they tried to send us to cabin 9, which is attached to cabin 10, and might have the same plumbing issue that they refuse to fix! Buyer beware! Don't let them dupe you into paying full price for a room that doesn't work! Would not recommend.

"POW Camp "

2.0

Concrete block "cabin" with no amenities, except Adirondack chairs. Only good things are the view, friendly dog and cat. Buildings look like temporary facilities for housing German POWS during WWII.

"A Perfect Little Mountain Escape"

10.0

My husband and I took off to Stanley for a short little getaway. We stayed at the Redwood Cabins and wow! We were just in love with this little place. Greg, the owner, and his dog Titus greeted us as we pulled in. We felt like we had the place to ourselves for the night. This is definitely not the Ritz-Carlton, but we found it to be equally as dreamy (in a glamping sort of way). Though nothing fancy, the king bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was super clean, and you absolutely cannot beat the location (see photos, you’ll get the idea). We sipped wine in the cozy seating on the banks of the Salmon River, watched a beautiful sunset over the Sawtooths, and viewed a perfectly clear Milky Way once the stars came out. Our stay here was nothing less than perfect! We will definitely be back.
