Peacock Suites

The six of us were cancelled 7 days before our trip to Disneyland. WE were offered a place in Oceanside which is a 2 hour drive to Disneyland in rush hour traffic.

It’s within walking distance of shopping, close to Disneyland but far enough away to avoid heavy traffic

I miss outdoor pools and elevators are small.

Our stay did not meet expectations. What you see in the photos is not what you get.

First experience ruined the whole stay for me.

The staff were very personable, accommodating and beyond duty.

Update Smart TV - Netflix, YT etc. Dark color of kitchen exterior. Would prefer lighter color instead dard ok.

I'm glad we picked this hotel! The rooms were so spacious, included a kitchenette, the beds were COMFY! (Which is rare to find) the staff was extremely nice, and I love all of the fun activities they did every day to interact with their guests. The bus stop for the parks is right outside of the front doors, and close to the parks. The downstairs lobby had snacks + drinks to buy, but there is a 7/11 right around the corner for cheap. Within walking distance of many restaurants, Anaheim GardenWalk, and even the parks. The only updates I would suggest are the pool area, not much for kids. The pool was too cold & the hot tubs were too hot. The splash pad was not working. But we weren't there for the pool so it's okay! Overall clean property and great experience. Would recommend!!!

We used time share points so that is why we booked at peacock suites. I was not prepared for the hard push at check in to listed to a time share presentation... with MANY promises of free parking, free trips, etc. We said no several times, but still attempted to find a way for us to go check out their new WorldMark timeshare option next door. This doesn't set a good tone for me when trying to check in. NO means No :) We did not go. Room is "divided" with sleeping room and Family room/kitchen area with a sliding door, so if you have little kids that go to bed earlier you can separate the space. Upstairs (4th floor) rooftop area is nice with grills and seating areas if you want to cook in. Full silverware/dinner plates in suite. Small pool ( and I mean small) and 2 hot tubs behind lobby in a covered area, kids enjoyed...but once you have 5-8 people in there it gets crowded. Tons of walkable places for meals nearby, 7-11 is just a short walk away too. Parking is valet only- didn't love that each time we came/went we had to wait and of course we tipped each time too on top of daily parking rate. We did use the laundry room to do a couple loads of wash mid week. Overall, it was a nice stay, great location to visit Disney and surrounding LA area. (plan for traffic if heading to Universal/LA during the week rush hour). No maid service during stay, but you can get fresh towels as needed- I actually prefer no service but I know some people like to have a daily freshen up of room. Workers are friendly and accommodating.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. All the staff from the front lobby to the valets and housekeeping are all very nice, friendly and accommodating. We’e been staying here for the past 20 years and love staying at the Peacock.
