Hampton Inn Muskegon

I liked that the rooms were clean bed was pretty good, and the check-in people were friendly and helpful

It was clean and the staff was friendly.

Although it’s minor, the breakfast and coffee was unavailable to us all THREE times we went down. It put us back a little having to go out for breakfast and was an inconvenience but that’s the only complaint

This Hampton Inn is tucked behind a Target and next to an expressway. Not real convenient to restaurants except for chains. Somewhat removed from the main part of town. Our room was pretty standard and clean. Breakfast was standard fare for Hampton with powdered eggs and waffles. No wow factor. We were only passing through and needed a place to stay.

I won’t be coming back again. Pillows are the tiniest I’ve ever seen. Smells musty in the room, barely any lighting. For them charging $250 with deposit I was expecting more of an updated room. Tv is very small and far away from the couch or bed. Pool is decent size but still is not worth the money.

Checked in for 249 a night-supposedly with expecting stellar service. Went out for dinner Friday and came back to sleep after 1030 pm and soccer kids running around slamming doors-this was addressed by staff. Saturday morning took off for run and came back with the front trash over flowing falling on the ground. Front desk staff was in the back Saturday went in the rusty bottom pool and hot tub —both needing painted-it’s gross. Especially for the money. Bed was extremely broken down and uncomfortable, pillows almost non existent-tiny little pillows squished in the cases-cheap and non supportive. Sunday morning went down around 745 am for breakfast and though it was packed-it was early and wanted to get a good selection-no waffle mix, no bread no bagels, eggs and meat fine-oatmeal was watery and gross. The patrons were grabbing handfuls of plastic ware, leaving staff to have to fill that too. One poor guy was working the food and was trying his best. This stay was not worth 249 a night not even for the whole weekend. Maybe 65.00 per night. I can’t believe you can’t do better. Workers work hard-just not enough of them. Won’t stay here again.

The coffee was good. The breakfast was not great. They were always running out of food. Also the bed should be replaced. The location was good and close to everything we needed.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn a week ago. We found it a bit shopworn and kind of shabby though clean.The furniture is outdated…….not what you would expect from a brand like the Hampton Inn. Also, the bedframe had a big metal bolt (for lack of a better word) and if you would run into it in the middle of the night, you would have a really nasty gash on your leg. The duvet cover was worn out. We always stay at Hampton Inns and this one was not up to their usual standards. The staff couldn’t have been nicer.

The air conditioner was pumping out an overpowering fragrance or was in room as a cover up to something else. Room also seemed damp even with a/c running

The only downside was the breakfast. They were out of a lot of items, target is right next to this location, not sure why they didn’t get the things needed there, instead of making all their guests going to the counter asking.
