Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. This hotel is a total scam. Don’t book. I can’t understand why they have 4.3 rating on google? It can’t be honest, because the quality of the hardware of this place is absolutely horrible. Let’s begin with the rooms. They’re old. They peaked at the same time as MC Hammer. I don’t mind the cockroach or the spider, but I do mind not having water or the insane torturing sound of the neighbours ac engine constantly and that someone decided to cut stone outside our rooms for fixing a stair all day. In addition they cut the water a day without informing. Traveling with a toddler does require access to water. They final horrendous experience is that water ran down on the kids heads from the bathroom of the room above, we’re not sure if it was toilet or shower water, which doesn’t really matter, because this is a serious health issue. Let’s talk about the food, the breakfast is decent, even good. But comes lunch and dinner is something that fills fills you up. They write «famous chicken» in their menu, I’ve no idea where their chicken is famous, but I feel sorry for those who find this chicken famous. But seriously, don’t get the food package, it’s basically a scam. Like seriously. The spa facilities I can’t comment on, but the pools were Ok, maybe old, and too much chlorine, but Ok. We confronted the hotel with the whole situation, and while we were arguing with them more people were also complaining about their experience, which should be a prove of the hotel manipulation their ratings and if you consider of booking this place, be aware that most likely the most of these reviews are probably paid for by the hotel. The hotel promised us a refund for two nights, but on the verge of our departure, and us being in a hurry, they changed their offer. This happened after we had been promised a refund 1,5 hours earlier, and lots of discussion with the staff the day after. For video of this hell, and other honest reviews go to google.

Underwhelming. I was given a room overlooking the small lake which unfortunately is right next to a busy road. Even at 10pm at night there were enough trucks and motorbikes coming down the road that I couldn’t sleep without earplugs. The shower in the bathroom leaked terribly and flooded the floor the first time I used it so I had to mop it myself with a towel which wasn’t great. To be fair the hotel did fix it when I complained but didn’t offer anything to apologise. The resort felt tired and badly designed. One of the three thermal pools was out of order when I stayed so everyone was crowded into the two remaining ones. The breakfast was good but again next to the busy road so conversations are occasionally interrupted by the roar of a passing motorbike.

The experience at this hotel was not as hoped. We arrived and checked in, as another guest was making a statement of discontent at the reception. We got to our room and had no water pressure. The room had no beside tables, the wifi did not work in the different rooms and the bathroom was essentially unusable. We had issues with the safe as well. The beds were fine. The maps provided are not accurate. The trails are not well maintained. The restaurant was very good. Overall, the hotel is expanding but lacks maintenance of current installations. The place is understaffed and the staff is doing the best they can. We will not return!

Excellent service spa, wonderful food at Rocca Restaurant, nice customer service at the Reception and awesome service with Wet Bar guys. The entire hotel has an beautiful to Arenal Volcano with an strategic ubication to go everywhere from the hotel.

What a beautiful hotel, the mud station and mineral pools were so relaxing! All the food and drinks included were so delicious. Would definitely come back!

Staff was very friendly and helpful The all inclusive option gave each member of our family 2 excursions per day (that could be carrried over if the weather was bad or any other reason ) Food and beverage was great Lots of local favs as well as standards

Love this place would recommend.

Not many all-inclusive options; that is why we stayed here. We had a great time. Use this as a base to explore and adventure. Wifi in rooms would have been pleasant.
