The resort is in a great area, quiet and a few minutes from town.

Staff, location and experience always amazing for us. Jorge and Raul are great and treated us as one of their own. Everybody is always so friendly, it often times feels as our second home. Updated Superior Bungalows are a nice, simple upgrade.

My husband and I had the couples massage package at the spa and enjoyed it very much! The massage room is right next to the rain forrest which makes the spa visit unique. We felt our money was well spent given the quality of the massage and experience (aromatherapy, hot stones, etc). I would highly reccomend taking advantage of the spa, tucked away in the rain forrest, while staying here. This is a great activity during the afternoon while it's raining during the rainy season!

Everyone at Montana de Fuego was so friendly and helpful. We felt that they were attentive and genuinely interested in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The wait staff was attentive and fun and made us feel so welcomed. The resort grounds and nature trails were beautifully maintained. We would like to commend Jorge on his outstanding service and hospitality! Jorge offered tours along the resort property trails in the mornings and evenings for guests wishing to see wildlife and learn about the rainforest ecosystem. During these tours, he helped us spot hard to see birds, frogs, lizards, snakes, and even sloths, and he taught us about the plants and animals we were seeing along the way. We could sense Jorge's passion for Costa Rica's wildlife, and his enjoyment in sharing its beauty with us.

Our family had an amazing time in Costa Rica. Montaña de Fuego was located centrally with a beautiful view of Arenal Volcano and near La Fortuna! We had a variety of food and the service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and embodied the “Pura Vida” spirit! We highly recommend it!

Our review is for the spa. We had a little rough time booking. The texting to book was very convinent but scheduling was tricky so do it with enough time! The actual couples massage we got was phenomenal! We had gone horseback riding so our bodies were so tense but after the massage we were like new! 100% I would recommend after doing those tours Our reception desk lady named Nicole was very nice and patient with us. Our package also had a dry sauna and some time in the jacuzzi would a cherry on top 🙌🏽 Overall it was a great choice

We booked this hotel via Costa Rican vacation .org and had a very plesant experience.All people working for the hotel were very kind to us. Especially helpful was Jorge Obando who took us to nature walk around the hotel and showed us plants and animals on trails.

The staff at the hotel are very welcoming. On arrival we were greeted by Jorge. He helped us get oriented to the surroundings and to the features of the hotel. Jorge knows his animals, insects, reptiles and birds. We were fortunate to be able to go on a night hike with him as he pointed out a myriad of creatures living under leaves and in the trees. Jorge made sure everyone that wanted a photo got a photo, often taking the close up for us. We ran into him before lunch on a hike with other hotel guest who had just seen a sloth and a howling monkey. He parted with that group and then took us back to the area of the sloth and monkey and let us see the animals. You could not ask for a better guide into the natural world in La Fortuna.

Fantastic place to stay for a week! Food was really good and staff was amazing!! Animals were everywhere and the flowers were beautiful.

GREAT resort. The view outside of our bungalow was of the volcano. We were right on a small lake. The accommodations were good and well maintained. There was plenty to do in the area and I HIGHLY suggest that you do the cacao/coffee/sugar cane tour. The geo thermally heated pools were a great experience. Tour the area and go to the hanging bridges and check out the local restaurants also....
