Plas Penaeldroch Manor

We stayed in one of the suites which was perfect, it consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area which was very handy as we travelled in a group and had a 1 year old with us. It meant we had a communal space to relax in together. The owners were so very lovely and accommodating, breakfast was superb and reasonably priced for the hot food and the location was a great base point to reach the sights in the area. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other options in the area and the bonus was the extra space we were provided with. We all felt it was a very welcoming and cosy place to stay, would definitely recommend it.

Everything was thought of, snacks in the room on arrival, dogs were more than welcomed with poo bags and dog towels if needed. Beds were supper comfy. We will return when coming back to area. Owners were very accommodating and friendly.

Duvet was slightly too warm, but other than that it was perfect.

A few miles from Betws-y-Coed and Snowdon. Very clean, excellent cooked breakfast, friendly hosts and a gorgeous dog called Lola.

Great location, hearty cooked breakfast for a reasonable price. Free continental breakfast. Great views, lovely owners.

Very welcoming owners, the suite was very clean, unfortunately the showers in both suites were extremely poor, one just had a trickle of water the other had a bad thermostat so only cold water came out, the most annoying thing was the ridiculously noisy people staying in the suite about, kept us awake until 03.00, not ideal when you have a long day of walking ahead of you & a 4 hr drive home.

Fantastic accommodation with 2 double rooms, both with bathrooms and a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge, not to mention the fantastic views! The suite was beautiful and spotless. Mike and Carrie were very welcoming, giving advice on local walks and eateries and made us feel very at home. The breakfast was fantastic and great value, and there were many thoughtful extra touches to make our stay extra special.

Don’t let first impressions fool you, from the outside it may appear to be akin to a property from Harry Potter but inside it is my more modern and comfortable. The staff were excellent, they were friendly and knowledgeable with the local area. We were also treated to the storey of the house and the extensive work that the owners have done since taking ownership. Will certainly stay there again
