Plas Penaeldroch Manor

Lots of history and set in a great location. Mike and Carrie were very accommodating and genuine. The apartment was clean, comfortable and just what we needed for an evenings stay. They also cooked us up a fantastic breakfast and were able to cater for gluten free requirements also, not always possible outside of large chain hotels.

Still lots of work to be done on the property, but don’t let that deter you from a great find.

We our loved our stay here. The upstairs apartment rooms were the perfect treat after a long day of hiking - including the lovely bath and the very thoughtful tray of treats and nibbles! And Carrie and Mike were an absolute joy - full of humour and inspiring conversation. So much so that I could have stayed and chatted all morning! Highly recommend this lovely Manor House for a unique and traditional Welsh retreat! Homey, clean, tucked away, and absolutely wonderful!

Perfect hosts in an amazing building! You would struggle to find more genuine, hospitable and friendly people than Carrie and Mike. Outside there is plenty of parking and beautiful grounds. Step inside, the rooms are generous, clean and with everything you could need. The breakfasts are lovely and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back, thank you!

The hosts Mike and Cary were amazing and have maintained the house so well. The hospitality is unmatched and they’re lovely hosts all throughout our stay there. The place itself is located in a beautiful location and takes you away from all the city noise. 100% recommend

The venue was lovely, we had the top floor suite for 2 adults and 2 kids. Wonderfully set up with towels, very well appointed with toiletries as well. The staff were lovely and were super helpful recommending places to eat in town, and making breakfast available to us when we left at 330am for a walk up Snowdon.

It's a bit tricky to find in the dark, but a call to the venue helped a lot

Carrie and Mike were wonderful hosts, always ready to help. The area around is beautiful. The breakfast was nice and freshly made to order. The rooms were clean and had all amenities

The property is a bit dated. We need to travel a bit for food in the evening as there isn't anything around.

Everything! The couple that run the place are just wonderful. The attention to detail in every part of our stay was fantastic. Outstanding breakfast for a very low price, very warm welcoming feel to the place. I can not recommend enough, and we shall certainly look at staying here again. This is before we even talk about the location and the views! We were visiting as 5 friends on the slightly younger side and can be met with some wary and frankly discriminative attitudes, but we were welcomed like any other family, couple, or lone traveller would be. 10 out of 10!

Myonly one very very small negative comment, is the sofa bed if you need more than the double and 2 singles is not comfortable, but hey, I know it was going to be a sofa bed and when are they ever comfortable 🤣 but honestly thats really trying to find something to be completely honest about the stay and it did not negatively impact my overall stay 😊
