I enjoyed my one-night stay at the sleek, modern, efficient Springhill Suites by Marriott in Texas City, Texas where the staff served a free scrumptious morning breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruits, waffles, cereals, and other menu items. The friendly staff made my stay pleasant. I got a welcome bag with chips, cookies, and a bottle of water when I arrived. My room, with its comfortable king bed, sofa, desk area with a desk lamp, nicely-lit bathroom with a good shower, great air conditioning, and perhaps the highlight, a TV with many channel selections – including HBO, Pluto TV, YouTube, and sports channels – made my stay so good, comfortable, and memorable.

It was a typical continental breakfast. Nothing atypical, no surprises.

My husband doesn’t think the bathroom in our room has a fan.
