Wingate by Wyndham JFK Airport/Far Rockaway

Hotel is clean and looks brand new!! Rooms are clean!! The hotel was quiet and it was a Saturday night. There was some beeping noise that seemed to be coming from some equipment attached ro the hotel that went on all day and all night. Right outside my window. I had a room at the back of the hotel. Staff is awesome! No parking. Parking lot has 6 spots I believe. Do not park on the street in front of the hotel. All the cars parked there had tickets in the morning. You will have to park far away and walk back or take an uber. Neighborhood is rough! Really rough. Make sure you have whatever you need before you get there or have it delivered. Heard gun shots at night. In the morning, the neighborhood has a totally different character. If you are planning on staying one night or at least a short stay with no car, you'll be fine.

This hotel was old, shabby, and smelly. It did not have the amenities described on the website. There is no airport shuttle. Employees are bland at best. It is in a questionable area of town. We were highly dissatisfied with our experience there.

Absolutely awful, couldn't stay in the hotel, had to checkout after 30mins and book into another hotel, rough area, men smoking drugs outside room, no staff around, no tea/coffee let alone food, couldn't even get a bottle of water, it was awful, i sat crying for the best part of the 30 mins due to how bad it was

The experience here was average. I must mention that the desk assistant was helpful in getting me a cab for the airport.

Front desk people were great, at check in and at check out.

No shuttle driver, nor breakfast. Front desk personnel was GREAT!! They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I don’t believe the word NO was in their vocabulary. They made sure our group of 12 felt at home.

Good customer service, room cleaning on demand, however, breakfast advertising is not really accurate. Air conditioning, small room refrigerator work perfectly; staff address guest’s concerns and a timely manner.

Great place to be and the environment is getting better

We booked this hotel as it offered a free shuttle and was advertised as a hotel close to JFK. We arrived and called for the shuttle and we were told they did not have a driver. Spent $65 on an Uber and a 25 min ride to the airport. The next morning again no shuttle driver and spent $50 on a cab. We got to sleep for about 4 hours.. beyond disappointing.
