Hyatt Place Kansas City/Overland Park/Metcalf

Strangely, I didn't technically stay there, but they created an account using my email address and won't stop harassing me, so I get all the downsides of staying there without being there in person. I have called them to request that they fix the issue, and they are too incompetent to do anything about it. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR INFORMATION!!!

The hotel is freaking amazing. It's so comfortable and the staff is approachable and genuine. You can tell this is a well run, secure and inviting hotel from the moment you step inside. I like how they actually remember your name, how do they do that? Breakfast is way better than other chain hotels AND they have a mini Starbucks, totally worth the splurge in the morning. I stay at a lot of hotels and this one is a gem.

Was delightfully surprised by how lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable our room was. The location was perfect, though I did on accident drive to the wrong Hyatt Place in Overland so be careful to put the right one in your maps! There is one called Overland Park/Convention Center just minutes away.

Be careful staying there if using a debit card. I had multiple charges on my debit card the next day. I had already pre-paid for the room. Was told they needed my debit card and they would charge $50 for incidentals. Ok, I knew if I did not incur any charges that $50 would not go thru. Not only was that $50 not credited back another charge was added for $72.50. I called and told they got a new POS system and somehow that was added. They again assured me that the $72.50 would be credited back. I waited 5 days and still on my debit card. I spoke to the front desk again and told they were so sorry and they said they credited me back now the total of $122.50 . Checked my bank account again, and not only was it not credited back they charged my bank account again for $122.50. How inept can you be? So I guess I need to call the hotel again and I will also call their corporate office. This is ridiculous.
