Bourbon Orleans Hotel

Good central location in the French Quarter with easy access to the bars, restaurants and gift shops. All staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good but very expensive! The decor throughout the hotel was very eye catching and the room was lovely and clean, with all the usual facilities available. Not a cheap hotel (are any of them?) but well appointed and excellent customer service.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend celebrations and had a great time! Clean, fabulous pool, friendly staff, great breakfast in the am -- it was wonderful.

Good location and beautiful lobby. But -- housekeeping and room service staff do not come on before 7, so when there was no hair dryer in the room and no one able to bring me one, I had to head to the airport with wet hair. Also, no water glasses or other cups in the room and again no one to bring some the evening before, so I had to use my water bottle for water. In addition, some of the rooms (including ours) face Bourbon Street and so are pretty noisy. Bring ear plugs just in case!

We stayed a long weekend (Th - Su) and had a marvelous time in NOLA. The hotel has a lot of character and we enjoyed our stay. Yes, the nightlife in the area is loud. This is a historic building and doesn’t have modern soundproofing. If you need silence while you are sleeping, bring earplugs or go stay in a chain hotel away from the French Quarter. The location is absolutely awesome. It’s right in the thick of the Quarter and everything is easily walkable, no need for a car - which is a good thing because you likely couldn’t pay me enough to get me to drive in this area. The lobby is beautifully appointed and has a lot of seating - we’d frequently relax in the lobby and people-watch in the evenings before going upstairs to sleep. In the mornings there was always fresh coffee available, and around the clock they have ice-cold water in dispensers, a welcome touch when coming in from the humidity outdoors. The staff is friendly and helpful - we interacted with the door people, front desk, and bartenders. Everyone was welcoming and had a smile. Housekeeping, while virtually invisible to us, was prompt and thorough. The beds were comfortable, the AC was very effective, and everything was sparkling clean. We had plenty of towels and pillows and needed nothing. The only thing that didn’t work well for us was the electrical-outlet situation - only one bedside table between two beds meant that in order to plug in both our CPAP machines we had to each have our own bed, and then charge our electronics across the room overnight. When you have an old building, though, you have to make do sometimes with electricity. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back to the Bourbon Orleans.

Best location in the Quarter. Cool vibes. Nice room w/petite balcony. Reasonable price. David the bellman is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. My krewe has been staying there yearly since 2008 (except the 2 covid years). We will keep coming back).
