Old Bank Hotel

Perfect location to stay to tour old Oxford, located directly across from St Mary the Virgin Church. Very attentive staff, always willing to help with any need. My room was large and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom containing a stall shower and tub with a grab bar! Enjoyed daily breakfasts on the pre-pay plan - Quod is a superb restaurant. There’s a beautiful lounge/library in which to have quiet conversations or enjoy tea. We tried the other Oxford collection restaurants, Gee and the Old Parsonage, both of which were excellent.

This hotel checks all of the boxes. It is centrally located. It is a beautiful and well maintained property. Their staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. The food and beverage are delicious! I loved the beautiful and thoughtful bathroom design and desk with a mirror and makeup mirror. The bed and bath linens are luxurious. The TV is modern so you can cast streaming services from your phone. The room was quiet thanks to double glazed windows and traffic limitations in front of hotel. I loved the air conditioning to cool the room for sleeping. It was so comfortable.

Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and super friendly and helpful staff. Location was perfect for all of the Oxford sights.

Mattress was on the firm side and may not suit everyone whilst rooms also come at quite a high price bracket which made it prohibitive for more than a 1 night stay.

This hotel is arguably the best boutique hotel I have stayed in. It is really difficult to find fault. Clean. Beautiful room. Excellent room service. Excellent hotel staff. Quiet. Beautiful bathroom. Superb Quad restaurant with outstanding food and a beautiful view of St Mary’s university church.Excellent HD television. Ideal location in central Oxford with a lovely view of Merton tower from my room. Even the old fashioned Yale key to the room with leather tag made me smile; and of course worked, unlike many confounding key cards. There is something sometimes to be said for a reliable analog interface Room service was exemplary and the front desk staff were friendly and attentive This was a return visit to Oxford, having been a student at Green Templeton college, circa 91/92. Two years ago I returned to the University to provide a careers lecture in the new school of Government building. It was then I discovered the Quad restaurant, so on this occasion decided to try the hotel itself. I was not disappointed and am likely to make annual returns

I was upgraded and had a stunning room with views on the High. The staff were lovely.

It was excellent. Amazing night’s sleep, which I normally never have in hotels. Wonderful bed.
