Hyatt Place Dallas/Grapevine

When we arrived, the desk person was not interested in receiving us. He was rude and abrupt. Staff need training on how to greet and welcome guests.

I’m writing this review from the room right now. Haven’t been here a full 24 hours just yet but I’m compelled to write this review to warn others to stay away! With SO MANY other hotels in this area, there is ZERO reason this one should be in your list of options. Its dirty. That’s my biggest issue. Filthy actually. The floors, walls, bathtub, sink, counters. Everything reminds me of walking into an old apartment rental in the 80s when your 19 year old best friend got his first apartment and didn’t know how to clean. Including the furniture. Everything looks like someone’s great grandmother passed it on to fill space in your first apartment. Im 45. Used to be a flight attendant too. I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels. I’m not picky at alllll. I’m also a mom to four teenagers. But a dirty hotel?? No. Not acceptable. As I type this I’m staring at old mold in grout of bathtub and a missing light fixture in the ceiling. Just wires exposed and a half work led light lol I’m truly appalled. Oh and the overwhelming smell of this place. It’s enough to give you a migraine! Which I have right now!! It’s like the smell from someone trying to heavily cover up smoke but over did it with some cheap dollar store fragrance. Oh one more fun thing I noticed lolololol There’s a lamp plugged in to the wall. You can tell one part of the wall has been repainted. Well, the part of the lamp cord that was over that part of the wall also got painted along with it. Not the entire lamp cord, just the piece hanging across that section. And it’s not like it was done in an effort to hide the cord or try to make it look tidy. Just used some paint sprayer and covered whatever was along the way. Including a bug stuck to the wall. lol Anyway it’s comical at this point. Paid a comparable price to stay here even though neighboring hotels are same rate. I’ve gone to my coworkers rooms at the other hotels and they are definitely winning! So do yourself a favor and skip this. Oh dang one more thing. Breakfast ends at 9am. I don’t need it anyway but coffee was empty (except decaf) by 820am. No need replacing it. They were informed and it was no concern bc breakfast is almost over. Okie dokie. Y’all have fun! Update 6.26.26 a week later, I noticed they double charged me for my stay. They charged my card twice in the same day for the exact same stay. I had to call them to get it reversed but I'm surprised it even happened in the first place. I ended up leaving after only one night bc the spray they used to spray all of the hotel gave me a migraine. I left the room during the day to go to my conference and put the do not disturb thing on my door but when I came back they had entered my room anyway and sprayed that damn spray again all over the room including the bed and pillows. it was overwhelming. I ended up just packing up everything and sleeping on the pull out couch of my coworker's hotel room at the neighboring hotel.

Staff was nice and tried to provide solutions

We had to change rooms. There was a leak on the floor and it ruined my mom’s purse but also the tub was dirty. I was supposed to get a credit for the room but never received anything that I’m aware of

The air conditioning was absolutely horrible I would hate to see if the temperatures were really hot. Thermostat would not get below 75. Was not the first time to stay at Hyatt and always been satisfied but last time to stay at this one

Really disappointed in the air conditioning after driving the long distance and ,wish that hotel had better cooling

It was so clean and near to everything!

Liked everything!

I didn't like that I had put i sign outside my door to come back later to clean, but the cleaning person still unlocked the door and came in the room while we were getting dressed
