The Golden Sands

A Fabulous Hotel in the perfect location, right on the beach. Views are incredible. The Hotel has been recently renovated, the bar area and restaurant are lovely, all the staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you, they take the time to speak to you and ask you about your day. They are a real credit to the hotel. Martin the bar tender was a joy to chat with. We ate at the restaurant all 3 nights as it was so good. Breakfast was equally as good with lots of choice. Cocktail happy hour was a bonus too! The rooms were very clean, very comfy, with lots of storage space, tea /coffee and biscuits are provided and perfect to sit on your balcony with to watch the sunrise, sunset, tide, dog walkers and swimmers. We had a sea view and slept with the patio door open to be able to hear the waves, rolling in and out, it’s was bliss and something we’ll miss at home. Overall we couldn’t find fault with anything, it was the perfect short break for us and well worth every penny spent. The Dolan group have got it just right at Golden Sands.

Just back from spending a delightful week at the Golden Sands. What a beautiful situation - lovely views overlooking the bay. Our beds were very comfortable and it was so magical to fall asleep and waken to the sound of the waves. We mostly ate out in various restaurants but when in the bar / café, the staff - Martin and Charlie and other team members - were so friendly and looked after us very well. We have already booked to go back next year!

This is an amazing hotel, such good value for an amazing hotel and the view is stunning. This hotel is literally right on the beach, you walk on to the balcony and you are at the beach. The hotel is situated on a bus route and is not far from the hotel. From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel special, the staff are amazing and so welcoming, Gladys is a stand out member of staff, so warm, friendly and welcoming. Gladys has taken the time to have a conversation with us each time she has seen us and has shown genuine interest in us. The staff here have just won a customer service award and I can see why, the best customer service I have seen in a long while. I would recommend ensuring you book a sea view room with balcony as this should not be missed. We are staying here for our anniversary and there was a card and gift waiting for us in our room upon arrival, we the received a call from Gladys in reception to ask are we settling in and is there anything we need. This place is perfect and we will be returning next year. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay.

A great hotel. Excellent staff and fantastic views from the sea view rooms. Been to Jersey 3 times for a holiday. We will come back here for the next one. Stayed 7th to 9th October.

I keep coming back to this hotel because it is the best in Jersey. Staff are always welcoming and courteous and can’t do enough to ensure their guests are happy. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere, is kept very clean and oozes quality. As a solo guest I feel safe there and it’s more like family now as I keep going back. Views are just stunning over St Brelades bay and there’s no where else in the world I’d rather be. See you again next year and thank you all for another fantastic stay.

The hotel is in an incredible position overlooking the beach. The rooms are nice although in part a little dated. However, this is not a concern given the stunning location and it would not put me off staying again. The staff and very nice and helpful.

Wonderful place, right on the beach you can leave doors/windows open at night and listen to the waves. Reception staff very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Superb views of the clean, safe beach from all areas of the hotel. The restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, food fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

We can't recommend the Golden Sands enough! We stayed there last week and it was our third visit. Facilities and rooms are excellent and the views cannot be beaten. Sadly, we had to leave a day early due to a family illness but the manager Julia so very kindly refunded our missed night! Food, service and atmosphere is superb and nothing is too much trouble for the staff team. THANK YOU for a fabulous holiday! Adrian & Sarah xx
