Extended Stay America Suites - Orange County - Brea

Property charged a $150 deposit when I checked in. Said I would get it back when I checked out. 12 hours after check out and I still don't have my money.

Ever since this property has changed name/hand the new management is not professional. Some rooms have strange moldy smell. When bring up maintenance issues are not addressed. They have been surcharging $150.00 incidental and when brought up to the staff at this location they blame your bank.

Very outdated room, the sink was leaking as i entered, the tub paint was peeling, and the curtain was broken so I had to rig the curtains to stay closed so you couldn’t look in from outside. Overall worst motel Ive been to in SoCal, which is a surprise because the area was not bad. No one’s fault except the owners for being so cheap and not updating. Never coming back.

Room is smelly

(Non Smoking room). Had to bleach and clean bathroom, toilet was dirty, spiderwebs in bathing area by shower head and against the wall ceiling. Chairs were embedded with tobacco leafs & cherry steams, & food crumbs. Floor was filthy! The bottom of my clean socks were black after walking around. Behind dresser was filthy with old water bottles underneath. Looked like semen left on the side of the brown skirt of the bed. Couldn't do to much moving/Changing rooms because I just had surgery. Room service never came when requested. Had to stand in door way next day to get room service attention.

A have love staying at Extended Suites in the past and have always had a positive experience, this hotel is not up to the standards of the others. I am definitely ok with a basic hotel, but this didn’t even meet basic standards. The room I paid for was for a queen size bed, we received a double. The sheets were dirty, walking around the floor in my socks they turned black, hairs and dirt in the shower. It was a nightmare, and couldn’t wait to check out. Also my room was paid through Hotels.com and they were trying to charge me for my room until I presented them with my receipt.

Like: good staff disliked: everything OK

Staff was pleasant and the property looked nice from outside. Bed was uncomfortable, room was old (which didnt justify the deposit).
