Extended Stay America Suites - San Francisco - San Carlos

I have stayed at many EXT properties, San Carlos is by far my favorite. Clean, great location, next to shopping, food, parks and dog friendly.

Traveling to pick up my son.

The night clerk was the most friendliest hotel clerk I've ever met at it was 11pm. Loved the cozy king size bed and fluffy pillows.

Older feel to the rooms but clean and excellent customer service from staff.

The breakfast offered was just pre-packaged snacks.

I stayed at this property for two weeks. Here is the good and bad :-) but mostly good. Good first: Friendly front desk staff Quiet and clean Plenty of parking Comfortable bed Plenty of towels in the bathroom Lucky supermarket close by A strip mall with some shops and food close by Bad: Breakfast bar not as advertised, they only had muffins most days. Front desk folks, while friendly, put the "away" sign way too frequently to do other things and you have to wait for them to return to the front desk. The vending machine was broken for the two weeks that I was there, so if you forgot your water, you are out of luck. The kitchen does not have the dishes, you have to ask the front desk for it. There is no daily housekeeping. You have to pay extra for the internet if you want to work from the room and participate in video calls. The standard internet does not support video calls. The TV is antiquated cable tv, not a smart tv as most hotels now have. You have to take out your own trash and the trash bin have a very small opening so if you have large trash, you will have trouble putting it in the bin. The stay was mostly good but would have been better if there was breakfast as advertised, with working vending machine, and a smart tv. I do not like streaming movies or shows on my laptop.

Comfortable, Employee's were very nice, Didn't Rush me out at checkout time, Bathtub, handicap parking.

No ICE MACHINE, HARD GETTING OUT OF TUB.

Clean and quiet, next to a large office building so there was plenty of parking. i got the feeling there were many permanent residents living there but not sure. Not a problem anyway. The area surrounding the place was pretty quiet as it was a weekend and most places were closed save a few restaurants that might be in walking distance. i would stay there again.
