Windhaven Bed & Breakfast

Instead of sleeping at another mundane motel I decided to make the last night of my holiday to New Zealand a truely memorable occasion. Windhaven exceeded all of my expectations. Michelle and Steve were wonderful hosts who welcomed me on arrival with freshly brewed tea and home made cake. Their beautiful country home is set in a colourful garden and my bedroom was spacious and luxurious. I very much enjoyed joining my fellow guests around the kitchen table for the lovely dinner and breakfast prepared and served by Michelle. Looking forward to next time. Highly recommended !!

Steve & Michelle make you feel very welcome immediately upon arrival. Home from home vibe. Great conversation with easy going hosts who clearly enjoy hospitality. The ground floor of this beautiful home is for guests, a cosy sitting room with tea and coffee making facilities in the kitchen.

Beautiful setting with wonderful garden. Excellent hosts in Michelle and Steve who are simply two of the nicest people hosting a bed and breakfast we have ever met. Wonderful breakfast and can highly recommend taking the option of an evening meal as Michelle is a great cook. Nice to also have the option of buying local wine to accompany the meal. Staying for dinner also means you get the chance of hearing more brilliant stories from Steve. Very comfortable room and bed

Not booking for a longer stay

We were warmly welcomed by Michelle and Steve, and they immediately offered us coffee with a freshly baked cookie. We enjoyed this outside on their terrace in the sun, and had a lovely chat with them both. The room where we stayed was in their home and was very neat and clean. In the morning, Michelle prepared a delicious breakfast for us. It was the perfect start to the day.

The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions cooked to perfection. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room beautifully designed, and the gardens were a tranquil delight. Steve and Michelle were exceptional hosts, making us feel welcomed and ensuring every need was met. We will gladly return!

It was good day in beautiful house! Thank you so much for interesting discussion and friendly atmosphere! So comfortable and stylish house, very cute animals!

Everything was superb and one of the best B&B I’ve stayed in for a very long time. Michelle and Steve were wonderful hosts.

Unfortunately other guests chose to go for a very early morning walk and woke me up with all their inconsiderate noise up and down the hall. I am also a light sleeper and had the noise traffic on the stairs which was unfortunate.
