Les Chambres

Excellent location and a charming house with gorgeous garden. It's well maintained. They were very accommodating for our late check-in and provided us beverages and treats upon arrival. They excel at the finer details to set a positive impression at check in. We stayed in the main house and it was very quiet. Had no issues with the parking onsite. I felt it could be a little cleaner, it looked like someone spilled something on the door and it wasn't wiped down and shower scum lines could be scrubbed more. Over all we enjoyed our stay and wish we could stay longer. It's close to many wineries and walking distance to the main street.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as a central location for the wine tram. The location was perfect and a few minutes walk into the lovely town. Our room was very comfortable, with comfy beds, pillows and also a welcome package of goodies. The shower was always hot with good pressure and the room included the mini bar. Netflix was available, as well as tea and coffee. The breakfast was delicious with a small buffet option as well as ordering from another menu. This main house was open 7-7 and you were able to take from the bar if you took alcohol and wrote down what you took. Peter was welcoming and helpful. This is a gorgeous, boutique place with lovely gardens, views and a heated pool. We would stay here again as it felt very homely and cosy.

I stayed here for my honeymoon in February. From the second you walk in, they make you feel like family. The hosts are always checking in to make sure you have everything you need. The breakfast was great every morning and MAKE SURE to get the charcuterie board!!! It is a HUGE platter of delicious meats and cheeses and was definitely worth it. The guest house is in a great location too, SUPER close to some of the best restaurants in Franschhoek and walking distance to town center and wine tram. You may be very centrally located, but the walled garden makes it feel very remote and quiet.

Perfect weekend getaway - charming, clean, with a heated pool and walking distance to the Main Street

I haven’t been since it’s been revamped. I loved Les Chambres before but it is now more refined with a comfortable bed, crisp white sheets and considerate touches. Good choice for breakfast friendly and attentive staff. Mini bar was included and a welcome drink upon arrival. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the perfect location for being in the centre of town but wine farms easy to get to by car or walking distance to the trams/bus. Also lovely to relax around the pool and enjoy the rose gardens. Loved it so much we stayed another night!

Magic place. Subtle management.

Close to downtown in Franschhoek city (2 min walk). Amazing service and heated pool which was a bouns. Book the rooms that are directly connected to the pool area. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed. I will return. 5-stars!

My wife and I stayed at Les Chambres in early January 2024. The guesthouse was wonderful. From the moment we walked into their beautiful rose garden, we felt relaxed and welcome. Their attention to detail was great. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Our room was beautifully appointed, spacious and very clean. Small extras , like having the contents of the mini bar included in our price, doesn't go unnoticed. They had a heated pool and the guest house location is perfect. Literally 2 blocks away from all the shops, restaurants and galleries. The breakfast was fantastic and our overall experience will guarantee a return trip. Thank you to Peter and all his staff for making our stay very memorable.

This was our 3rd visit to this really lovely guest house. It’s only a few minutes walk from the Main Street which is an added bonus. The Owners Suite was well decorated with an included mini bar, really comfy bed and great bathroom. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the gardens are beautiful and the heated pool was blissful. Would really recommend it… we wouldn’t keep going back if it wasn’t great.

Very impressive!! We recently stayed at Les Chambres for five-nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was absolutely lovely and the amenities, including Africology toiletries, were a real treat. The garden and the pool area were absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax with a coffee or a bottle of wine. Plenty of choices were available for breakfast and the ones we had were absolutely delicious. These included eggs Benedict, omelette, croissants, muffins etc. All the staff, from Ellen who welcomed us on our arrival, Jan the manager who looked after us at breakfast and helped us with planning our days out, to the the lovely man who looked after the garden (apologies, we didn’t get his name) and everyone in between were just brilliant. Our recommendations for trips out, especially to the local vineyards, include Leopard’s Leap, Holden Manz and the absolutely stunning Oldenburg. All in all, a fantastic time in a beautiful location!!!
