A hidden gem in the Winelands!! Super clean, spacious, and comfy. It felt like a private oasis. The views are truly unforgettable, absolutely breathtaking, with Table Mountain in the distance, wildlife roaming at the front of the property, and sunsets that are nothing short of magical. Enjoying a glass of Saxenburg wine while watching the sky change colours was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. Our stay felt effortless yet special. It’s rare to find a place that balances country charm with the little luxuries so perfectly. Close enough to Cape Town and Stellenbosch for exploring, yet tucked away in its own peaceful world, Saxenburg is without a doubt the best place we’ve stayed in the Winelands. Truly unforgettable - I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The view, the quietness

The security is very unprofessional at the entrance. He didn't want to allow my uber driver through as he believed there is no guest with my name that booked a weekend there. The security on Saturday evening was helpful. The one of this morning absolutely terrible. He can decide by someone's name who can afford to book a weekend there and who can't. That's off putting and I'm not sure who give security to decide which guest is there and who isn't. Absolutely disgusted by this behaviour

The establish was very clean. The lady that met us was very pleasant. The security were very friendly.

We do understand out of the 3 cottages we had the smaller unit. It was just such a pity there was no braai facilities and a afdak like the other two cottages. So we either sat on the bed or in the doorway. I think the lounge chairs weren't comfy. I suggest putting an airfryer as well which gives you another cooking option as many people don't cook in microwaves. We would come stay again but certainly would prefer the bigger unit. So in a nut shell we just used it as a base and we left early morning and returned out late evening after having a meal in Stellenbosch
