The location

Wouldn’t stay here again. They promised a lot of things in the description/amenities but did not deliver. Everything had to have an extra step to get. Towels, beach towels, pots and pans. Etc. The pictures online were not what we got. At all. We had to change 3 rooms to get what we booked. We rented a room with 2 queen bed and a King bed, and got 2 queen beds and a pull out couch that was 50+years old. It definitely has a run down motel feel. Seems like they tried to update but the contractors were messy with painting and mud for the walls. The kitchen supplies they supplied was enough for 2 people. We were a family of 5. There was no boiling pot included and they did not have one when we asked. So you had a kitchen to “cook” in but no supplies to actually be able to cook except a frying pan to cook 1 egg at a time. So we had to spend more money going out to eat. Breakfast was advertised at 8am-10am on website. It actually was open till 9am. And multiple times we were not let in to get breakfast because they ran out of food. The location was good so we thought. Till the 3rd room that was OK and decided to stay in. But it was across a very busy street. When I looked up location of where we were supposed to stay it was closer to the beach and not crossing a street. All 5 pools were not open. And a couple of them were very dirty. We spent almost 2K for a week and it definitely was NOT worth it. There was an old eviction notice on our door. The staff did not like their jobs.

Walkable to locations. Property needs major renovations. Would recommend choosing another hotel.

My door was jammed upon arrival, I requested for a queen they gave me 2 beds. With no tub, & the extremely loud jumping above my head. I will like a refund.

I’m accustomed to the Hbh properties but I just can’t comment on behalf of the palms because I ended up with a room in the flamingo building. Also, not sure if it was valued/priced and the same for the room and location.

Parking is 19 dollars extra.

Lady at breakfast line up was barking orders like we were in a prison camp. Very aggressive and rude. She makes sure you don’t bring your own coffee cup and get and 2 ounces of coffee beyond the mouthwash size cups they provide. If you want to extend your stay they charge you an extra 39 dollars in addition to room rate. Watch out for add on costs surprises.

Location

Rude front desk. Treat you like a criminal for asking anything. Breakfast lady was like prison guard making sure you didn’t bring your own coffee cup and possibly get a full size cup of coffee. Heaven forbid. My girl friend went back for an extra napkin and was rudely told “we’re closed”. Where did they get this person? From work release from the local jail? They will charge you $39 extra for extending your stay, even though you want to keep the same room. Ridiculous.
