Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy The Broughton Apartments Historic District

Location was great!

My codes didn’t work and we luckily found staff to help. There’s no instruction as where to go with issues. Also, I thought there would be a couch in the room. The chairs were uncomfortable.

The location couldn't be better. It was right in the middle of things. It was great to have all the amenities of a rental unit, e.g., a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer. There was plenty of room for bags and storage. I liked the look of the unit with high ceilings and nice decor.

Since it was an old building, the floors were very creaky, so we heard the people staying above us walking around a lot. The pullout couch was uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. There was no microwave in the kitchen.

Location and it was clean . Also liked it was in the heart of everything

Very loud upstairs all the time sounded like they were moving furniture at all hours. Did not like the lock mechanism on the front door was not working so anyone homeless could come in. It Is still not fixed and texted Sonders on Friday

It was noisy but ear phones were provided. (Construction and squeaky floors) The noise machine didn’t have a plug or batteries and the blow dryer literally sparked like an electric chair. But man it is massive I wish I had a whole week to really settle in. We looooove SONDER!! Looooved the luggage storage and zero contact check in and out.

The location was fantastic for downtown Savannah. There was so much room to spread out. We had bought a few food items, so the fridge and kitchen were helpful. The place had everything we needed.

While you do get discounted parking, the garage is a couple of minutes away. While our check-in was smooth, do pay attention to your email because I got several emails about access codes the week before I arrived and they changed in the last 24 hours before check in.

The apartment was elegant in an industrial-rustic kind of way. We enjoyed the kitchen and the comfortable bed. We were not awakened by noise from Broughton Street. We ended up parking south of Gaston Street (near Forsyth Park) where all street parking is free. This avoided us having to pay $20-$40 a day for parking.

There is a parking lot adjacent to the back of the property and all signs say 24-7 towing. When I called the Customer Service to inquire, I was connected to someone in a foreign country who--unsurprisingly--didn't have the answer as to whether we could park there. In the end, we could have, since we were there on a Saturday-Sunday. I think this place could do with a local customer service number.
