Abbey Hotel Bath, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Excellent location and nice hotel. I stay at the hotel every year when I am on business in Bath. The breakfast is great and a special mention to Sally, who is the most friendly waitress I think I have come across! Some of the double rooms are very small but I was upgraded this time. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent central location , couldn’t be better, staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make you welcome , rooms were clean and tidy with ample toiletries and drinks .it was a birthday trip and on arrival they had given us a free upgrade to one of their cinematography rooms, but unfortunately the room had no windows which isn’t good as I suffer from claustrophobia the bathroom in this room was truly amazing but unfortunate that we couldn’t stay in this room. Staff were notified and swiftly moved us to another of their cinematography rooms which although not as grand was amble and had huge windows

There wasn’t a lot not to like except the bar was grossly overpriced £50 for a standard bottle of savignion blanc , and menu was very limited. We went out into Bath and there were so many bars and restaurants for us to choose from .

We had a weekend away for a birthday and what a lovely hotel this is. Great staff, comfortable, clean, well equipped rooms. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner on the first night, the food is of very good quality, we enjoyed it immensely A big thank you to the lovely Sally who made sure to make us feel special. Highly recommended

The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to help me, who was dumb enough to forget to bring my travel adapter on a business trip... Also liked the really good breakfast with nice options and excellent service. Via email, in the aftermath, they provided an adapted invoice within the blink of an eye. It was already the second time, and I will return for sure!

Visited for my partners birthday and arrived to a birthday plate with cake which was lovely. Had an issue with the shower however this was dealt with quickly and our room was changed. Special shout outs to Sally at breakfast and Martin on Nights. Sally's smile and chat was infectious, and her service fabulous, Martin took a genuine interest in our stay and made us feel so welcome. Hotel is full of character and great location.

First, the best part, the only 5 star part, Sally. With that big smile on her face, she was very attentive, in a “how can I make your day special” way. Big thank you Sally. The rest was, less than ideal. We were “upgraded” to basement room with a tiny bed. Although I could see the other rooms available in the system, we were told that a was an error. After a sleepless night, they were able to “downgrade” us to a 3rd floor room with a normal bed and shamelessly lied to our face that the beds were the same size. While the cutie pie Sally did everything to cheer us up, incomplete breakfast, serving a couple just a single coffee did not help much. Sally should be in charge of the hotel and teach everyone how to host a guest.

Perfectly located and very welcoming to the city centre of Bath. Given a warm greeting and were surprised by the hospitality of our upgraded room. Having never visited Bath before, this made me content with my first impression. Convenient loading bay outside the front door and then we had to park a little bit on the outskirts for affordable parking. The room was spacious and had all the facilities needed (for me that is coffee... as a bean juice fanatic). The room was very clean, well maintained and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. It seemed to have been a busy day and they did run out of orange juice but overall the spread was adequate. This was made up by Sally's hospitality and she made our experience 100% better. Overall, highly advise staying here.
