Jamesbond Bungalow Koh Panyee

We wanted to stay on Koh Panyee, and Jamesbond Bungalow was one of our few choices. It was clean, well-located and provided everything we needed. Would we stay again? Yes! We very much enjoyed our 2 day stay.

Interesting island, with houses on stilts. Don’t bring alcohol, pork or dogs - they are not allowed on the island. We had a nice private excursion to James Bond rock and other attractions. The hosts also have a kayak and it's definiely worth renting it to explore the mangrove forest opposite the Bungalow. Dinner available, also vegetarian, if you ask in advance – they bring take-away. Great view from the terrace. Drinking water available.

Not really "didn't like", but to take into account: getting to/from the island is a bit complicated. The host sent us instructions.

We kept saying I can’t believe we are here!! Momma meets you at the pier and makes sure you are welcomed to your water taxi- your adventure begins here with a warm welcome!! Our rooms were perfect! AC was a welcome treat but the breeze on the front porch couldn’t be beat! They make everything easy. We decided to add on the fishing trip and it was a blast!! They bring water and snacks - it is worth every baht!! If you love authentic culture and staying on this island would hit your bucket list don’t hesitate!! The chicken fried rice after our fishing trip was the best I have EVER eaten!! Walking around the village was awesome, the local boys included my son in a game of futbol!! This is a slice of heaven, the unobstructed view was a special treat!! This felt like a resort- they took care of all the details.

Truly unique experience. Dont expect a five star hotel but a very clean and friendly place. This little island is an amazing spot and should be on your bucket list. The owner can arrange private trip on long tail boat.

The location was great. The daytrip and transportation was good. Got scammed by the canoe ride people but that is what it is.
