Gjaargardur Guesthouse Gjogv

Gjogv è uno dei più bei paesi delle Isole Faroe, vista meravigliosa e paesino molto tipico e suggestivo. La Gesthouse ha molti servizi e uno staff gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Ti fanno vivere a pieno la vera vita faroese. Per qualunque necessità lo staff ha sempre una soluzione. Ottimo e super consigliato. Inoltre noi siamo riusciti a visitare tranquillamente tutte le isole circostanti perché è in un'ottima posizione

Wunderschön gelegen und ein toller Start in unser Färöer Abenteuer. Vielleicht kommen wir tatsächlich noch einmal dort hin.

Établissement bien situé. Propre. Dans un bel environnement. Petit-déjeuner et repas très bons. Personnel 👍🏿

Restaurante con buena cocina, pero un pelín caro (aunque la realidad es q comer en restaurantes en Islas Feroe es caro en todas partes)

Absolutely loved the small township of Gjogv. Spectacular scenery from our accommodation. We were able to hike the Gjogv coastline from our front door. Restaurant within the Gjaargardur Guesthouse building was outstanding (need to make a reservation for dinner ahead of time) and the breakfast included was excellent.

Just be aware that your accommodation may not be in the main guesthouse building but in a separate annex, in our case it worked in our favour with excellent views and quiet surroundings with just 4 apartments in our annex. Bathroom befitting of hostel type accommodation.

We stayed in the main building for 3 nights. The room size was decent, and the bed was extremely comfortable! Free parking on-site was super convenient. The breakfast was excellent and delicate—the pastries were very fresh, and the yogurt tasted amazing. For dinner, the cod was quite good.

The bathroom was on the smaller side and used a shower curtain, which didn't keep the wet and dry areas separated and made it a bit inconvenient. Also, there was almost no heating at night, making it very difficult to dry our clothes. As for the restaurant, the dinner menu stayed exactly the same every night; while the cod was good, the lamb was just average. Since we stayed for three nights, we decided to eat elsewhere for our last two dinners.
