Gjaargardur Guesthouse Gjogv

I was satisfied with the guesthouse. Even I had small room on basement without outside view, it was fine. Olny few steps from the room and I had a view to the amazing countryside... Breakfast was OK, but dinner in the guesthouse was great. Even they do not offer vegetarian meal in the menu, the staff was very helpful and arranged me delucious veg. food (three days and three different veg. dinners).

Everything you need for a 1 night stay in thr pretty little village of Gjov. With a sunset time of 23:15 was lovely to have a wander late into the evening and watch the puffins flying home into their nests in the gorge.

Food in The Faroes is expensive, and you are committed to eating dinner here as there are no alternatives, but I thought the food could have been better for what we paid - DKK450 for a main amd a beer. The packed lunch we ordered for the following day - roll, apple, water and a bar of chocolate cost DKK150.

Dobra cena jak na okolicę i całe Wyspy Owcze. Miłe było śniadanie w cenie, choć skromne. Duży parking dostępny przed guesthousem. Wygodne łózko, cicho i ciepło.

W pokoju było niedoodkurzane i ogólnie mogłoby być czyściej. Bardzo ciasna łazienka, gdzie zlew był dosłownie pod prysznicem. Śniadanie jest, ale na prawdę skromne

Breakfast was ok. Location wrt the nature and scenery - beautiful and amazing. Opportunity to book a dinner at a restaurant and quality of it was great! Room was just ok. Quite old on a smaller end for two people with a lot of luggage.

However we had a rather unpleasant experience as we stayed longer outside during the evening to enjoy the great view and observe birds in the area. Once we returned to the guesthouse, we were met with a locked corridore to our room. No one has informed us about this - on the page, at least on booking it is specified that there is no curfew and that you can come and go as you please. When we checked in - no one informed us about this limitation. The key didnt work to enter the corridor either. We called the contact number for urgent inquiries mutliple times to no use. Other corridores were open, it was just ours that was locked...
