The Evenlode Rooms at Firehouse Oxford

Lovely room, comfortable beds, plenty of parking and great restaurant/bar too- the food was lovely!

This wasn’t a problem for us as we were awake but it’s fairly noisy until 11 when the restaurant and bar close and staff arrive from 8 to start cleaning.

Very convenient location and perfect stopping point for our trip to the Cotswolds.

Restaurant was average

What I had not appreciated was that there was no breakfast available. But the evening meal was excellent.

When I left there was noone to say did you enjoy your stay. I just left the key on the side as instructed by the cleaner.

No warm water at all. Doors super noisy

The room and ensuite was superb, clean, nicely decorated, warm.

Directly above the bed is a fire water sprinkler, on the far side of it, it had a tiny power source light that could be seen in daylight (NOT A PROBLEM) During darkness there were flashing lights to the left and right on the sprinkler, flashing approx every 10 seconds. We do not know if work was still being done overnight, from 11 o'clock until 5.30 in the morning there were continuous drilling sounds. Very disappointed.
