Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Brown Deer - Milwaukee North

We were greeted with industrial fans blowing in the lobby, to dry out the floor, no rain. The elevator was dirty, the hallway to our room had bags of trash and an abandoned, probably broken from the look of the floors, vacuum. Our room has gross stains on the floor, one by the bed is dark red, there are coffee stains and crumbs on the floor and stains on the worn out sofa. The fridge isn’t cold. The bathroom is dirty. Two of the walls are smudged in multiple places with something black. I had a hard time walking my dog because there was so much trash on the lawn. I can’t believe Marriott allows this. I’ve always trusted them. The room was so dirty we didn’t try the restaurant.

This is not a terrible property, but our experience also wasn't great. Our room was very nice (for the most part) and the air conditioning worked great. We did have problem with the toilet running a pretty regular basis and stopping up twice during our stay. The first time I stopped by the front desk and the stopping up issue was resolved but the toilet continued to run throughout our stay. We also had a problem with housekeeping which, despite rising hotel rates, remains at only every other day. On the third day of our stay we returned after 4p after being our all day to find housekeeping working on our room. We returned to the lobby (without working AC on a warm, humid day) and waiting for about a half hour before returning to the room to find the room propped open with no staff in sight and hardly any housekeeping done in the room. We went into the room and never heard from anyone again. For the most part the staff was rather unenthusiastic about helping us or anyone else we heard them deal with. One exception was the guy working at the Bistro. We had breakfast included in our rate and he was very friendly and even remembered our order the second day. I have given the general manager an opportunity to address my concerns and after a week he has not responded. I will probably find a different place to stay if I return to Milwaukee, but this is not the worst stay I have ever had. I just expect more from a Courtyard property.

Hotel was a switch after a poor experience at a comfort inn. Staff was polite and helpful. Facilities were clean. I would stay here again.

This hotel is run down and due for an update. Pool was out of order and the elevator was out of order after our first night. Pull out couch has a thin mattress and the shape is too odd to sleep on the couch itself, plus no extra blankets or sheets were provided.

The bed was comfortable and easy to sleep in. My air didn’t get cold and my refrigerator did not work. The only thing that worked was the light. I wish the toilet was a little higher. I enjoyed the front desk staff when I arrived on Saturday. She was so sweet! I probably wouldn’t choose this location again in the future.

The pool was closed by the public health department. The elevators were not working so we had to climb 4 flights of stairs with all of our baby equipment. Random holes in the walls of my room with wires coming out. Room floor was super dirty, found toenail clippings on the ground when we first got to the room. Very disappointed because I always trust Marriott to be clean and in good condition.

Mold in shower, elevator broken, pool closed by health department. Hotel charged our credit card after we paid Booking.com. Air conditioning didn't always work.

The tv had very few working channels. When we called the front desk, they said only 1-30 were working, but they were poor too. Also, there were no linens for the sofa bed. When I called the front desk, they said I had to come down and get them. I refused and they said they'd be up in 5 minutes with them. They never came. Only one of the two elevators was working Friday night. Both were nonworking by Saturday morning. Many guests had bicycles with them for a nearby ride and had to carry bikes through stairwells.

The room stunk! Meldew, urine and old smoke. I would never stay here again! All the other hotels in the area were full, so we couldn’t really go somewhere else. We were headed for a charity ride, everyone else we spoke to that stayed these said the same thing. Tired and needs an overhaul!!!!

Looks like no one cleaned the hotel.
