Courtyard by Marriott Traverse City

Stayed there a few weeks ago with 2 rooms for 5 days to drop off my daughter to art camp...first time to stay in courtyard in this area and it went ok. Then came back yesterday to pick up my daughter and booked room for one night. I drove to hotel straight from airport around 11:45am to make sure no surprises. A lady name Nichol told me no worry and everything will be ready by the time I go back. After picking up my daughter after her final orchestra in the evening we went back to hotel and two different ladies at front told me all rooms were out and their manager picked me and sent us to best western "for free night". When I told them my earlier stopping by and confirmation from Nichole ...the manager on duty told me she doesnt know nothing with a cold face. And I asked why me and she said may be because of my lower status(?!!) SERIOUSLY? ! This is how your employees get trained to handle customers?? I travel around world and stay in many hotels each year..this disappointing experience is rare to find. Plus...not even a single sorry throughout the entire communication...should I thank you for screwing up my booking and then throw me into a cheap hotel 5 miles away "for free"??? Next year my daughter will be back to interlochen with friends again. We will avoid this hotel with friends.

No view at all. Marginal bistro/bar——ok for breakfast. Said it was in Traverse City but that was a real stretch! Not near anything!

Elevators were slowest in history. Limited hot water in showers as well as little water pressure. Staff tried hard.

Not worth the extra dollar. We choose this hotel since it had a bar and was told it wasn’t open. Service to get coffee was terrible in the morning. Very disappointed!!

Always a great stay at TC Courtyard by Marriott! Squeaky clean and super friendly staff! The only place we stsy for our weekend getaways!

Would definitely stay again! The staff was great. The breakfast café was pretty good as we are still in a pandemic. The hotel was clean the room was clean and my experience was great. It was quiet. No complaints honestly.

After seeing so many reviews about how clean this property was, I was pretty surprised when we checked into our room. Went to put some bottles of water in the fridge and there was a Hot Pockets in there from a previous guest. As soon as I sat down on the ottoman, I spotted a piece of candy near the foot of the bed. The bathroom was the worst. There was pink mold/mildew all around the inside of the shower. The toilet had a disgusting stain in the bottom and scum around the water line. While most hotels are offering disinfectant wipes in the room, 2 packets of hand sanitizer were offered here. Our room was located on the backside of the property which offered a nice view of trees. It was very quiet except for the partiers out back until 2:30am! Mattress was very hard. Wifi here isn’t the best either. Not steady so I finally gave up on that! Stopped at the Marketplace to get a snack one night and it was practically empty. It was even worse when we checked out. I will say that the associates at the front desk when checking in and out were both very nice. I also understand that EVERYONE is having a hard time finding people to work, but cleanliness should be a priority.

Traveling to Macinac Island from Shelby, MI and used Traverse City as a halfway point. Good plan,, nice hotel, good shopping nearbyl. Everything worked! Keys, room temperature, bed comfortable, quiet hallways! The shower was grwat- good pressure and temperarure.
