I lived in Nottingham all my life until recently and had dined in Merchants restaurant and also regularly drank in the bar which has sadly now gone. I'd never had the opportunity to stay before though until I moved away. When I checked in I was instantly upgraded which was a lovely surprise and the reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. My room was lovely and well appointed. I was very disappointed the bar was no longer there as it had been really lovely but I understand everything changed during the pandemic and so many places closed down. I will definitely come back though.

Location. Cleanliness of bathroom and bedding.

Room 103 it was not possible to turn the radiator off or down. This made the room very hot through the night. Avocado on toast breakfast was not very exciting to look at. The full English presented better. Rooms are tired.
