Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Arcata/Eureka-Airport Area by IHG

I was on the first floor in a very nice room with the room above me. The people in the room above were quite loud through most of the night. That was very challenging for me. (But this was the last room available.). Everything about the room and the kitchen area was clean and comfortable. Every single member of the staff was a wonderful and helpful person. Zea, Gabby, Ronnie and James really made a difference on my trip. I was greeted warmly and with care and concern with any questions I had. I actually had a tick on the back of my neck after hiking, James was willing to remove it, since I could not reach back there. I was astounded at his generosity of spirit. One doesn't find that often. I would recommend this hotel highly, only maybe request an upstairs room in advance.

Nice clean room. Workout room equipment operational. Breakfast was a nice touch with good variety.

Clean room. Front desk is always friendly and nice. Access to Arcata and parks is ideal.

We stayed here as a family of four, and the room layout was excellent. The space was incredibly nice and spacious, with a large bathroom that easily accommodated all of us without feeling cramped. The lobby has a very quaint feel to it and is kept beautifully maintained and clean. A huge plus for us was the 24-hour fresh coffee available in the lobby, which was great to grab whenever we were heading out or coming back in. Our only major issue during our 4-day stay was with housekeeping. Our room wasn’t cleaned or replenished on 2 out of the 4 days we were there. Having to go without fresh towels or trash removal for half the stay was frustrating for a family of our size. Overall, it’s a nice property with great space for families, but the consistency of the room servicing definitely needs improvement.

Clean room but a little bit tight. We booked for 5 people but got a room with only 2 queen beds. They were good to provide us with a rollaway bed for free. Staff was pretty good.

Breakfast could've been better. No bacon or potatoes. Had a pancake maker though.

Best hotel we have ever stayed at hands down!! From the ladies at the front desk, to the housekeepers to the landscapers, everyone was super friendly and hlepful. Very good free breakfast and the bed was super comfortable. And the hot tub suite was the buisnes! Well worth the money.
