Clarion Pointe-Dillard near Blue Ridge Mountains

We stayed in a suite room with kitchen at Clarion Pointe in Dillard with friends, and it was perfect! The suite was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed – comfy beds, a sitting area to hang out, and a peaceful atmosphere. It was great having extra space to relax together after exploring the mountains and nearby attractions. The staff was super welcoming and helpful, and the location felt very safe and quiet. We loved starting our mornings with the free breakfast and appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and free parking. Overall, it was a great experience and an excellent value. Highly recommend this hotel for group trips or anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the Dillard area!

I have stayed at this facility many times over several years - through multiple owners, noisy, smelly renovations, and regular contract bucket truckers partying in the parking lots nightly.….I noticed that none of the reviews are current. I was there a day ago. Two or three previous owners ago (I think} initiated a transition from Gateway. They started a much needed renovation process….but were bought out before updating was completed. The quality of the renovation work done suffered. It is hard to know if poor attention to detail was prior management or sloppy laborers. For example, there are places where the paint job was inept; the cheapest possible paint was used. Paint is already showing wear. (Maybe no second coat?) Common areas were improved. There is a small workout room and on site washer/dryer; both are new features. Rooms key card system is functional. Rooms, though, are even more poorly lighted. (There is overhead lighting only in the entry. The other room light comes from the vanity/sink area or bedside lights. There is no floor lamp or desk lamp.) Furniture is adequate. (The one desk chair is uncomfortable.) None of the HVAC units were replaced. Beds are comfortable, linens fresh, water pressure high, but plumbing fixtures may feel loose. There are no coffee stations in the rooms; sometimes there are no hair dryers. The wi fi is poky; i do not think it is improved - reception is still poor but that could be due to ower locations in the mountains. The breakfast varies in quality - some is fresh- hard boiled eggs - but bagels can be stale. Juice machine may or may not have juice.. Coffee is good. The grounds were much nicer but now are only given indifferent “mow and blow” level care. At least the long ago Holiday Inn sigh is gone. This week it appears the EV chargers are not working. The staff is pleasant, helpful, non and accommodating.

Great location and staff is very friendly and helpful

We have stayed here before and love it. So we booked again. Helpful and friendly staff. Hot breakfast is pouched eggs and sausage along with waffles etc…. Indoor pool is heated and it felt amazing even though it wax warm outside. Will stay again!

No coffee maker in the room

The front desk staff was very helpful navigating difficulties w/ check in. Breakfast was less than mediocre for normal hot meal breakfast. Hard boiled eggs and watered down coffee. Stale bagels. Room was clean but properly outside was not. Trash piled up @ both back exits & flies everywhere because of overflowing trash in lobby, and outside exits.

The only good thing I can say is the bed and pillows were comfortable and clean and staff was friendly. On the other hand, the toilet paper holder was off the wall, and on the floor behind the toilet, soap dispensers missing in shower, tub wouldn't drain, hair dryer wasn't attached to the wall and didn't work anyway. Breakfast was below average and only four tables for sitting. For $85 plus taxes, I should have lowered my expectations.
