Was here for 1 night, perfect for that

Only spent 1 night here but very happy with the experience . The rooms & breakfast were good & the staff lovely. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off around midnight but the staff evacuated the building with the minimum of fuss & kept us informed about what was going on . Fortunately a false alarm caused by steam in one of the rooms . Would certainly recommend.

Trip was good, but room number 177 looked a bit tired and need of redecorating in areas. Remote for TV didn’t appear to be in the room, as the phone in the room didn’t work I had to go to reception to report it, the lad at the desk managed to supply one but sadly it didn’t work. After a full search of the room the missing remote was found under the bed. There is also a loud noise of rushing water in the bathroom day and night.

Very small room and completely disappointed for the money I paid

The false fire alarm at 5 am was very bad for the full day of work. No explanation was given

We enjoyed it. The restaurant next door was excellent

2 minute walk to bus station. Took the bus daily to Edinburgh. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean. Wifi kept dropping. Was very frustrating.

The hotel is clean . Reception staff are ok. The downstairs bar is not well stocked at all. To give an example for those traveling to experience a scottish trip they dont sell Irn Bru ? And they only have 3 whiskys and one of them was Irish. Location is good but the parking is horrible. If you want to park the car put aside £12 a day with hotel code. The rooms are clean and decent but the beds are very hard for sleeping on very very hard. Be prepared to be stiff in the morning. Breakfast is very average No pancakes Bo choice of yogurts No potato scone No black pudding No mushrooms Overall is an average breakfast only served until 930am .
