Location was excellent. The pool and spa facilities were excellent also.

The bathroom was not very large and the room was small. For the price I was expecting a lot more. Disappointed would about sum it up. We inquired about Ministers Island and were advised they had a shuttle we could use so we took it, Myself and three others are all over 70 but were dropped off about a mile and half from the buildings and told it was a short walk up the hill. Not a very good service. Plus once up at the original barn it was at least another mile walk to the house?? The hotel could have advised us not to take this shuttle as we were seniors. We spent more time walking up hill than viewing. Not impressed with this service.

The location is beautiful, the staff is exceptional!

Check in wasn’t until 4:00 which is late for the price you pay for the rooms. And then the room wasn’t even ready so we had to wait another 1/2 to 3/4 hour to check in. In addition we were charged $50 extra per night for “additional adult” which was not communicated to us when we booked online. Since we booked for 4 adults any additional cost should have already been included in our total quoted and We should not have been charged this additional amount!

Staff was friendly, knowledgable and spoke excellent English. Loved the fireplaces in the lobby and the chance to mingle and meet other guests. Surprised at the amount of dogs staying at the hotel. Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Winston, enjoyed meeting as many as he could. Leia greeted us with a wag of her tail and allowed petting. Staff placed us near my mother's room, which was helpful due to her mobility problems. The ghost tour was really good!

The furniture was not as grand as the room and the rugs were frayed. TV too large.

More attention needs to be had to cleanliness. All entry doors to rooms marked black and dirty, doors interior need paint and carpets all stained

Our room was very comfortable and appropriately appointed. Our morning buffet was fantastic, with excellent service and comfortable dinning environment.

Well, that's a little uncomfortable to answer as the off-seasonal rant was significantly less. However as our friends were already booked, it made sense to join them.

We didn’t ask for any directions or map of the property, so we had to find services on our own, we shouldn’t of had to ask.

Needs a lot of updating. Carpets and furniture were stained.

The grandness, appearance, and the property

Bathroom had little space for anything (clothing after shower; makeup;etc). Somewhat dated. Fire alarm went off both nights of our stay (had to evacuate one of those nights).
