le restaurant est au dessus de nos espérance, la cuisine succulente, le service excellent et la cerise sur le gâteau pour le petit déjeuner nous avons eu un jeune serveur qui nous a servi en français avec le sourire. L'hôtel est très bien entretenu, et le personnel croisé dans les couloirs très souriant et aimable.

L'accueil à notre arrivée a été très désagréable, nous avons envisagé l'idée de demander un remboursement et nous rendre ailleurs. A 4 heures entendre que la chambre n'est pas prète, alors que nous avons froid et aimerions pouvoir nous réchauffer et nous détendre... Le membre du personnel nous dit qu'il faut patienter quelques minutes, sans plus d'explication, que nous pouvons attendre dans le hall ou au fitness (au bord de la piscine peut-être avec nos valises, nos manteaux et les personnes qui sont là pour en profiter alors que notre enfant ne pourrait pas?). A cette heure il n'est pas possible de s'asseoir, il y a beaucoup d'arrivées et de gens qui sont installés pour jouer. Les quelques minutes deviennent 45 minutes pour qu'enfin quelqu'un demande s'il peut nous aider... en fait la chambre est prête a un détail technique près, le téléphone ne fonctionne pas. Aurions nous du passer la nuit dans le couloir pour cela? Je pense que des excuses, des explications et une prise en charge aurait été un minimum pour le standing d'un hôtel Marriot Autographe. Reviendrons nous? Je n'en suis pas convaincu. Les lits sont petits pour un couple.

When we arrived to check in, we were told our room was cleaned but had to be “verified” and that this would only take a few minutes. So they took my phone number and promised to call as soon as it was ready. I told them we had a lunch meetup to attend in 20 minutes and they said “no problem”. We waited 20 minutes and had to leave and, while at lunch 1.5 hours later, they finally called us. I am a lifetime Gold Elite with Marriott but was not welcomed as one when we can back to check in. I was also ignored twice while 2-3 front desk staff catered to one other guest. I finally was acknowledged, provided my name and was promptly ignored again while the front desk person stopped to help the same guest again. I was given a code for the “advanced Internet” (which I am supposed to get for free with my status) but our multiple attempts to find a way to sue the code failed. Not a warm or even appropriate welcome and nothing but a smile and an “I’m sorry” from the desk clerk (who also spoke so quietly that I could not most of what she said to me). Horrible and chaotic welcome and zero recognition of a loyal customer

The look of the old hotel is very nice.

The food in the only open restaurant is consistently terrible.

We really liked the view from the top floor out to the bay. I enjoyed sitting by the fire in the comfy chairs on the main floor. We enjoyed the historical and ghost tours. The full sized pool was excellent.

I did not see there was going to be an "activity" fee when I booked (why not just include it in the price of the room?) No tea or coffee available at all times in the lobby.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays, fires burning, friendly staff. And the food was fantastic
