Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

We went to a conference at the SD convention center. Because of the current administration's funding yanking around, we weren't sure if we'd be funded to attend the conference, but funding did finally come through. With kinda late registration/reservations, we booked into Hilton Gaslamp (we are usually at a differnet hotel directly connected to the convention center). The room we got was in the "lofts". The room is reasonably comfie, but there are almost no outlets for charging computers, phones etc. most of the lights in the room are impossible to turn on, strange choices of wiring. To get to the "lofts" you have to enter the main hotel, then either go one flight up on stairs or elevator, then go outside across a courtyard then take stairs or elevator to walk to an outdoor corridor to get to a hallway to the room. It's not an easy or comfie access to get in. Then, the ice machine is back outside into another corridor, to a hallway by other rooms. It is s strange configuration. And the fact that it happened to be rainy all week in SD made all of the outside accesss stuff super awkward. The gaslamp main drag outside our window was kinda loud too.

Lobby bar/restaurant is a great place to spend a Friday evening. I've been going for the last couple Friday evenings to see a great flamenco musician, Jason Jenkins. I've been trying different things on the menu and REALLY like the pork belly. The flank steak has been really good as well. When you go in, try to see if Melissa is working as a server and if Carl is in the kitchen. Melissa is very friendly and service oriented and her experience shows! Carl in the kitchen prepares the food really well. There's your A-team right there!

Omg! Lindsey and Vanessa were the MOST AMAZING SERVERS!! The mixology, combined with the most charming demeanor, and amazing bone structure in the face, put these two off scale! If you are ever fortunate enough to come to this bar. Ask for these two. They are what every patron wants in mixologists. Order the Cadillac marg!

My husband brought me here for a surprise date and it was so much fun. The food was great and the show was so immersive! Melissa was fantastic too!

Melissa was very accommodating to all of our needs. She made the experience so much better than she had to , she was super friendly and kind. The whole experience was amazing but she honestly made it so much more Thank you Melissa :)

@hilton your bell dept/person does need to put EIGHT tag stickers (that are paper so they do not peel off) on one piece of luggage. Either invest is stickers that easily peel or limit to two. Location great but the Wild Hare restaurant in hotel was terrible food and way overpriced. Too many other competitive hotels in the area for me to choose from so won’t be back.

Luxury, amazing service and an unforgettable atmosphere... If you're attending a convention at San Diego Convention Center, this is the best location not only for service, great staff and excellent food/drinks but the rooms as well! The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and I love that use Pathwater bottles for water in the room! So nice to see a hotel using reuseables and recyclables. Noise level was pretty quiet besides random sirens and other random things, and we went during Twitch Con, but we rested very well. Front desk staff amazing and kind. Wait staff superb, fun and knowledgeable. Bar staff simply the best. The star of the this property is Lindsey the bartender at this amazing property... Not only is she going to fill you with sunshine, good vibes and an unforgettable experience... Her skills, knowledge and dedication to excellent customer service is without a doubt the best in all of San Diego and I've stayed at virtually every hotel in the area many times. I learned so much from her and she truly has passions for work and experience she provides to each and every guest even during busy times but also in her personal life as well. I wouldn't be surprised if she was GM or CEO one day. Thank you for such an amazing stay Lindsey! P. S. Sorry Lindsey! I thought it posted when I left but it didn't go online at the airport! Delicious Espresso Martinis! Melissa and Carl at the bar are awesome! Definitely love coming back! Service is excellent all around!

Melissa and Carl are awesome bartenders! Best JB black ever poured! Location is right at the beginning of gas lamp. A great way to start your evening!
