The Lake Hotel Killarney

Great location, beautiful, peaceful, a nice way to get back to something relaxing and peaceful after a day of travel or sightseeing. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We had a small issue with our reservation and they handled it beautifully. Really great breakfast buffet too, with views of the lake. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised.

Highly recommend the Thermal Suite

Our family of 6 (4 adult children in late 20's/30) decided to stay here for 3 nights during our 10 day trip to Ireland. We used the hotel as a base to do activities like horseback riding, Gap of Dunloe tour, etc. It is a beautiful spot, a quick taxi ride from downtown, wonderfully decorated rooms, great bar and restuarant if you want to stay on site. We had intended to rent bikes and also get to Muckross but time got the best of us. We did take advantage of a 7pm slot at their Spa and enjoyed the hot tub, steam and saunas. Would highly recommend if you want a beautiful place, with access to many Killarney experiences. Killarney in general is a great spot to stay awhile!

From start to finish, our stay at The Lake Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The entire experience was flawless — from the warm welcome on arrival to the stunning views throughout our stay. Dinner service was top class, with exceptional food and friendly, attentive staff. The new thermal suite was simply amazing — so relaxing and beautifully designed. Our Master Deluxe Suite was fabulous — spacious, luxurious, and perfectly comfortable. Everything was top, top class, and we’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful hotel and grounds! Old school charm and service. Breakfast was amazing. Honestly, one of the nicest hotels for the money I’ve ever visited.

No pool access for kids. Our bed was pretty small. The view however is breathtaking. The staff is wonderful as well. Very stunning common areas. The bar made you want to have one more.

The view is to die for and the focal point for the entire hotel. Food was outstanding and great central point for all sightseeing. We will go back!

The location and view are amazing and the room was a great size, but the property is a bit “tired”. We had a great breakfast!

Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent atmosphere, excellent food, excellent thermal suite. Spotlessly clean. Noise level is very quiet & relaxed. Always feel totally relaxed after visiting the Lake Hotel. Reception staff were very helpful & went over and above to ensure our stay was top class!

Gorgeous property on a magical setting. Very beautiful & charming inside the National Park.
