The Lake Hotel Killarney

Enchanting escape to another stunning world, family run cozy comfort yet luxurious with 5 star food. Love this place. The stunning views caress the soul and transport you to another state of mind. Best hotel in Ireland. It is our home from home. Rooms, Food, Staff, Atmosphere are beyond expectations.

We recently stayed in this hotel for one night. We have stayed here before and as usual the staff were friendly, the service was perfect and the views were amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel as we have never been disappointed in any of our stays.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Hotel, the view from our window was amazing. The room was large and had everything we needed. The hotel feels more like staying at someone’s home, the whole experience was so welcoming and the staff were all superb. We couldn’t fault it.

As a couple we’ve agreed to try and make this trip to Killarney annually. A great 2 night break to rest and recuperate after a stressful few months. The location of the lake house is unbeatable. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained inside and out. A little old faishoned for our usual taste but it’s so in keeping with the location. Breakfast was good, not the best I’ve had in previous stays in Ireland but only personal (picky) choice issues no sourdough bread or overnight oats and the porridge from the kitchen tasted like it had been made with water not milk. We didn’t eat dinner in the main a la carte but did in the bistro and the food was delicious. If you enjoy walking Killarney town centre is 2.5k away and one straight road so very easy if the weather is dry. The Thermal Spa is nice but I don’t think guests given the cost of rooms should have to pay €20.00 pp for such minimal facilities, I would see it as a nice addition to the cost of the B&B. In terms of the gym very limited options, luckily we didn’t encounter anyone else using it but had there been more than 2 of us it would have been an issue to complete a workout. Last but not least I would recommend the tea in the room having a better selection (fruit teas) and it should be an Irish brand in my humble opinion. None of the above would stop us from recommending and returning to the lake hotel

We enjoyed our one night stay in an upgraded room on the 5th floor. The room was well appointed with the most beautiful view of the lake and the McCarthy Castle. We also booked a session in the Thermal Suite which was very scenic and relaxing! The ambience of the restaurants and common area completed the luxury feel of staying at The Lake Hotel!

Fantastic stay, absolutely stunning surroundings. No complaints at all and the food was of high quality and the room was so comfortable and serviced thoroughly on a daily basis.

Our hotel stay was fantastic. The facilities were great and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The breakfast could have been nicer, maybe the volume sitting there caused sogginess in particular the potatoes.

We had the best time at the Lake Hotel....your staff are amazing...front desk were always helpful....Michelle and Mary were so wonderful with helping us. Rooms very spacious and comfortable

Always our first choice to stay when in Killarney, staff are always fantastic and food is incredible. Could not fault it

Not great for kids-no access to pool. But staff was fantastic. The hotel is gorgeous. View is remarkable. The bar makes you want to have one more!
