The Lake Hotel Killarney

A wonderful stay. A gorjeous room with a spectacular view. Staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was lovely with excellent service.

We loved the hotel and the staff were great. We took beautiful hikes each day and went to Falconry Kerry. We saw a Harris Hawk, Barn Owl, Great Horned Owl, and a Great Grey Owl. Loved it all!

Fabulous stay with family . Had a lake view family room with ac, very spacious, beds super comfy, great bathroom and large tv. Only comment would be a better hair dryer. Food was super, staff great and super friendly. Amazing scenery and loved the thermal suite. Great to have so many everything chargers chargers.

We had a two night stay, and everything was perfect. I don't think I could find anything to complain about my only problem was at breakfast I ate too much as everything looked and tasted great I was ready to go back for a nap I was so full. The grounds are spectacular, and the view from our room was breathtaking. The bar had a great atmosphere with music on the Friday and Saturday night. The deer roamed around the grass area to the back as we were having a drink in the bar in the evening it was really special. We booked the four poster bedroom, the enclosed balcony was great and so private. A picture window was also perfectly placed to view the lake and mountains from the bed. It had a fireplace also that created a great ambience. We visited the thermal suite. It was great and well worth booking. The numbers are limited which makes for a great experience as altho there were 3 other couple using this space while we were, we hardly saw them. It was total bliss. The heavy showers we were experiencing while we went out to the infinity pool seemed to add to the experience it was that perfect. This was our second visit, and we will return again. It's our little slice of paradise away from our kids for some well deserved rest and relaxation. I would highly recommend a visit. I would love if a massage was also an option in the future as it would be the cherry on top. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back again !

Had the nicest stay at the Lake Hotel. Beautiful family -owned hotel with excellent food and fantastic service! The staff are incredibly helpful and so professional. They all seem genuinely happy to be there! The food we had in the restaurant was utterly sensational!! The bar food was excellent too, would happily eat in either. Rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable and hotel views were stunning. I cannot fault this hotel, I love it!

Everything about this place is great: the location, the rooms, the staff, the breakfast. I’ll be back again and tell others as well.

You couldnt ask for a more gorgeous spot. It's the Grand Canyon of Ireland. The hotel is amazing, the history on the walls when you walk the corridor is the only example where the people, artifacts and stories aren't kitschy and actually makes you feel a part of the history. Rooms are warm and comfortable. Suites are gorgeous. And pricing is fair compared to every other hotel in Ireland feeling way overpriced. Lake Hotel is worth every penny. Fine dining is great, and the staff are of the level you would find in a Michelin Star establishment. Food was amazing instead of the same old boring menu that every pub and hotel serves, these guys are definately trying to do something elevated.

We spent a magical weekend at The Lake Hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay truly special. The food was outstanding. Whether it was the elegant dishes at the Castlelough Restaurant or the relaxed lakeside bistro, every meal was an excellent . Breakfast was a particular highlight—fresh, varied, and beautifully prepared. Even on a wet & miserable day the location is breathtaking on the shores of Lough Leane. The thermal spa was a nice addition since we last visited and enjoyed our slot looking out onto the lake. We highly recommend The Lake Hotel for couples looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway. It’s a Kerry gem that blends old-school charm with modern comfort in the most scenic setting imaginable.

There are no words for how beautiful this hotel is. From driving in and seeing the Red Deer before we even arrived, to the absolutely stunning views from our hotel patio, everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. It was the first day of our honeymoon and our bed was made up with rose petals and a box of Butler's Chocolates (yum) and a large picture of the red deer which was such a thoughtful gift we got to take home with us. The food is amazing, some of the best we had our entire trip (the cocktails are also amazing, try the Bees Knees with there on site honey!). The location is perfect for day trips over to Dingle or exploring the south west coastal areas. We had zero complaints, hands down we'll be staying here again on our anniversary trip!
