AUWe have been coming to Peppers for 30 years and we are now bringing our small grandchildren. We were overwhelmed with the range of activities the hotel provided. The staff went to a lot of trouble making sure the kids had a wonderful time.
AUAUThe front desk staff were kind, welcoming, and offered great suggestions for places to eat and visit in the area. Overall, Peppers Manor House has incredible potential thanks to its stunning location and beautiful grounds. But the lack of amenities, maintenance issues, and significant understaffing made the stay feel far below the premium price point. With better resourcing and attention to detail, this could be a truly exceptional experience it’s just not there right now.
If you’re expecting the usual creature comforts that come with a typical Peppers stay, you may be disappointed. During our visit, the room lacked several standard amenities: • No robe • No slippers • No vanity bathroom kit • No magnifying mirror • No reception phone • Netflix/internet streaming not working on the TV • Multiple attempts from someone in the hotel trying to connect to our TV via AirPlay • Panel wall heaters not working despite being set to the highest level for three nights • Cobwebs and spiders in bedroom and bathroom.
