Baymont by Wyndham Shakopee

The showerhead in our room was installed upside down so it shot water out perpendicular. But you could tilt it UPWARDS, just down down. This caused an awkward shower situation and potential flooding. Also the layout of the room was awkward. When we walked into our room we thought it was a broom closet; it opened to a hallway and we couldn't turn on a light to see that the rest of the room was around the corner. Also when we were packing up we found a pair of socks that wasn't ours, so the room was not properly cleaned before our stay.

breakfast was by the pool which is in middle of hotel and right outside our sliding glass door so it elwas loud and woke us up so early and fans in bathroom and ac fan were very loud did not sleep well

to start off our first room didn't work, took 2 tries' then they gave us a new room. this room the door was already open because it didn't close all the way. we got in and the room is extremely dark; the lighting was not good. and the smell was horrible. the HVAC was off, so it was extremely musky from the humidity coming off the pool area. you had to run the shower for about 5 min before we got hot water. the toilets are made for grade school kids. the pool area was very dark and most the lights don't work or they constantly flicker, for the price we paid for this room we could have stayed at a way nicer hotel. will not stay again.

We had to switch rooms because our keys did not work. They switched us to a room that smelled like smoke. The beds were not comfortable The bathroom was small. They need to replace a lot of light balls. They flickered and were very dark.

There are worse places to stay….

Our first room smelled of smoke terribly, so we requested a different room. The next room, (and whole building) was so humid that everything was damp: the carpet, the towel, the bedding. There was a large spot of mold above the AC, the sink barely drains, the shower curtain will not close on either end because of the sagging curtain rod, and there is not enough lighting. I definitely would not stay here again.

Weve stayed here a couple times. We really liked it. The location is great with a couple casinos and valleyfair just a couple minutes away. Also Tina checked us in. She was super nice and professional. She was a rock star!
